伍久楽Go Kuraku
【3-minute walk from Kujō Station】"Gokuraku", a long-established restaurant proud of its history of being loved for over 60 years in Kujō, Osaka. Making generous use of wild-caught fresh fish carefully selected by the owner, a former fishmonger, we serve the seafood of each season in the best possible condition. Our signature "tecchiri" is a popular dish that lets you savor luxurious fugu cuisine. The fragrant "grilled fugu" and summer-only "hamo dishes" are also superb. Our sushi is an exceptional dish showcasing carefully crafted rice and seasoned skill. In particular, the "eel bō-zushi", available for takeout, is also recommended as a souvenir. In addition, the fine sake selected by our sake-loving owner changes with each season, so every visit brings new flavors unique to that time of year. In the private tatami rooms…

Amazing experience. Thanks for great food and company
View on GoogleA bit off the Kujō shopping street, a banquet arranged through an acquaintance's introduction. The result: wonderful. Who knew there was such a great restaurant in Kujō. The room was on the 2nd floor with chair seating, nice and roomy. Since it was summer, hamo hot pot; first an assorted sashimi platter, fresh and delicious. Next hamo tempura, big and fluffy. Then finally the hamo hot pot, with the liver in it too, the hamo plump and bouncy and generous in volume. The broth was also very delicious. To finish, zōsui — with this broth, it's bound to be delicious. It was a wonderful hamo hot pot. Prices are reasonable too, satisfaction 100. A great restaurant I'd definitely like to visit again.
View on GoogleFirst visit, introduced by the owner of a restaurant I like. The food was delicious and the drinks went down easily. The namida-maki really did bring tears to my eyes, but it was addictive. The private room on the 2nd floor was also charming and very comfortable. A place I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleThe shirayaki and kabayaki eel were fragrant and plump, simply superb. Eel lovers especially should definitely try them. The classic toro-taku is a must too, and the "namida-maki" I had for the first time was shockingly delicious, a dish I'd like you to order at least once. There are many local customers, and you can leisurely enjoy drinks in a calm atmosphere. On top of that, the original shochu "Gokuraku" pairs perfectly with the food, and I got to enjoy flavors unique to this place.
View on GoogleA hidden gem. A sushi restaurant with a warm atmosphere ■What we ordered ○Tecchiri (à la carte) ○Fugu shirako ○Fried fugu karaage ○Seko-gani crab with vinegar ○Oysters with vinegar ○Saikyō-yaki ○Abalone butter ○Sushi ○Various drinks ■Impressions The tecchiri had lots of easy-to-eat meat, felt generous in volume, and was delicious♡ All the à la carte dishes were superb! The sushi I'd been looking forward to was also so good I was moved!! The toppings I wanted were sold out, but the toro tekka was so good I ordered it again♡ Even though it was the busy year-end period, the food came out quickly, which was great. (Even though they'd explained when we reserved that it might be slow) ****************** ■Inside the restaurant ・1st floor has counter and table seating. 2nd floor is a tatami room? A Japanese-style room with tables, being used by a group. 3rd floor has 3 private rooms, which look like they can all be connected, so groups can use it too ・Stairs up to the 3rd floor ・Restroom on the 2nd floor ・Smoking allowed (it didn't feel smoky at all) ・Kids aren't banned, but be careful when there are hot pot dishes ・Seems to host a lot of company drinking parties and such
