I am still thinking of this curry a few months after I ate it, so I had to post a review. The curry was delicious , the perfect amount of spice, sweetness and saltiness. The tonkatsu was very crispy but the pork wasn’t dry at all. The portion size was unexpectedly large, which was a good surprise. I think cost me around ¥1000-1200. The staff were also so kind, the two ladies who were working were patient despite the language barriers and we even managed a small conversation about my trip. Hopefully I can come back here for some more curry in the future.

Heading to Ginza-tei, located a short way in from Tamatsukuri-suji, a little over 5 minutes from Teradacho Station. I visited for the first time in search of European-style curry. The old-fashioned Western restaurant vibe raises expectations. Aside from curry, there were also set meals like tonkatsu. Without hesitation, I ordered the Loin Katsu Curry. For me, it's the royal standard: a spicy European-style curry where you can taste complex flavors. The loin katsu was also carefully and crisply fried, and I enjoyed it alternately with the curry. The small potato salad as a palate cleanser with refreshing dressing matched the meal just right and was delicious. I regretted not getting the beef tendon topping, but I'll save that excitement for next time. The thoughtfulness, such as quickly bringing water to someone like me who was feeling hot, is also wonderful, I think. Thank you for the meal. I'll come again.

I'd been curious about this place for a while, and happened to be in the neighborhood, so I decided to drop in. Loin katsu curry 1200 yen. The spicy & fruity European-style curry paired with the crispy tonkatsu was delicious 😚👍 Salad is included too. It has a good volume even without ordering the large size. The spacious counter and retro interior are nice too. The polite service from the elegant madam was lovely as well. Next time, I'd like to try the beef tendon curry too 😚

[Tonkatsu/Curry Ginza-tei] Entered the shop, was guided to the counter, and took a seat. The counter and back tables were almost full. Quite bustling with regulars. Is curry the main dish of the shop? A nice aroma of curry filled the front and inside of the shop. An aging proprietress and head proprietress with a slightly refined air were moving about busily as a duo. Ordered the Shrimp and Loin Set for 1,200 yen. Served with the main loin tonkatsu, fried shrimp, salad, tonkatsu sauce, tartar sauce, spaghetti salad, pickles, red miso soup, and rice. Unlike Western-style specialty restaurants, the fried shrimp isn't thick and the tonkatsu isn't super thick, but the taste was delicious.
