One of the places I wanted to visit since childhood. Definitely a hidden gem in a side alley, lovely chef (who speaks kinda understandable english) who invites you straight to the grill. Absolutely astonishing experience. If I stayed longer in Osaka, I would have definitely visited this place again. By the main grill, there are 5-6 chairs so you can see the straight the whole cooking process. After cooking, you can eat straight from the grill or you can put it on a small plate. There are also 3 tables available, each equipped with an own grill to maintain temperature of the food. For all that experience (and very tasty food), really cheap! Oh my god, it made my evening, really!

Nicest guy in Osaka and amazing okonomiyaki!

An old-school okonomiyaki place. The atmosphere is great! Local customers were already in before opening, it felt warm! Ordered squid and vegetable stir-fry, tonpei-yaki, and modan-yaki They only serve teppan dishes, and the old man grills everything by himself. When it's done you can eat it on the table in front of you, kept warm. The batter has lots of tofu in it, so it didn't set firmly and stayed fluffy, delicious! Mayonnaise comes on top, and you add sauce and aonori to taste. Next time I'll try the oysters!

An okonomiyaki place we visited on our Airbnb host's recommendation! It was seriously so good we ordered 1 more! If you're staying near here, you really must come and try it! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

A very very lovely place to eat, it was very cozy and and felt like family, the chef and the guests were very courteous and chatted with us, even with a language barrier. The food was incredibly delicious, even when we happened to see the shop owner on the street a few days later he greeted us very kindly, we will definitely go eat there again.
