It feels like an old-fashioned town Chinese restaurant and the seating is about 10 U-shaped counter seats. There seem to be many regulars and when I went, many people were ordering the chukadon (Chinese rice bowl). The owner is quiet and seems like a kind person, and the person who seems to be his wife was friendly and cheerful. There are no set meals or set menus, only a la carte items.
View on GoogleIt has been quite a long time since my last visit. The master runs the shop all by himself. When it gets busy, water is self-service, and the payment system is where you put money into the register yourself and take your own change. There are no set meals or daily lunch specials on the menu, only a la carte items. This time I had the gomoku agisoba (mixed fried noodles). A few minutes after ordering, the food was brought over. Crispy fried noodles are topped with plenty of vegetable ankake (starchy sauce). This is quite delicious. The portion size is huge. I want to try other menus so I'd like to go again.
View on GoogleUnusually, it's a shop with only a U-shaped counter; I couldn't take a picture, but because of that, the kitchen seems spacious. The master looks busy by himself. I was the first customer, but since it opens at 11:30, regulars keep coming in one after another. I was curious about the "curry soba" I saw in the shop's photos and ordered it with rice. The ramen soup dominated and it was very mild-tasting. This is delicious in its own way, but for the price, I wonder if this is it. I feel like it would be nice if there was an option to add more powdered curry for an extra price. I somehow managed to eat the rice thanks to the complimentary pickled Chinese cabbage served as a service. Around the time I finished eating, the floor lady (wife?) arrived and briskly helped out the master. As a result of eating the cheapest item on the menu, I'll rate it as "average" (-.-).
View on GoogleIntroducing a long-established town Chinese restaurant founded in Showa 38 (1963) and loved by locals🍥 I visited 30 minutes after opening time, and the inside was already almost full of locals 😄✨ Promptly ordered shrimp yakimeshi and ramen 🍜 A thin egg is draped over the yakimeshi, and when you flip it open, there are lots of shrimps inside! The yakimeshi is midway between fluffy and moist types. The yakimeshi is fragrant and the shrimp is plump 🍤 This is a seasoning you can't easily replicate! It was insanely delicious 💯💯 Also, the ramen had a light base and was delicious 👍 I had heard rumors that it's a one-man operation, but midway through, the daughter came to the shop and supported the master. It appears the two of them run the shop together. Isn't that wonderful 👏✨ It was delicious ✨ Thank you for the meal 😘✨ 《Menu ordered this time》 ◼︎ Shrimp Yakimeshi 900 yen ◼︎ Ramen 500 yen
View on GoogleIn search of delicious miso ramen from a Chinese restaurant!! The shop I chose this time is Wakasui. When I stepped into the shop around 11:10, there was 1 preceding customer. After that, about 6 following customers, and I casually guess it's a shop loved by middle-aged and elderly regulars ^^ I was super super curious about the highest-priced happo ramen 850 yen among the noodle items on the menu, but I ordered the miso soba 700 yen (^o^)丿 The menu name being miso soba instead of miso ramen also whets the appetite~ Shortly after, the miso soba arrived. What!! Tonkotsu ramen?? Champon?? Surprised by the soup being too white!! Scooping with a soup spoon and drinking, it's a mellow miso flavor with a faint sweetness. Perhaps this is my first time having a white miso-based miso ramen. The noodles are chewy with a floury feel and have firmness, and they are normally delicious. The ingredients include pork, Chinese cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, bell peppers, etc., and it has a decent sense of volume. Bell peppers in miso ramen was a first, but I wonder about the bell peppers?? Thank you for the meal.
