I heard that this restaurant "grinds carefully selected brown buckwheat noodles on a millstone twice a day, every morning and evening, and serves them as nihachi-soba," and visited during lunch time. I had a set of "Soba" and "Ten-togi-don (mini)," a bowl of rice topped with tempura prawns and egg. I was satisfied with both the taste and the quantity!

This shop is highly likely to be discriminating against foreigners. The two of us arrived at 7:30 PM and ordered a set meal, but all the dishes weren’t served until 8:20—long after many Japanese customers who arrived later had already finished eating and left. They only brought out our food after we repeatedly urged them. Additionally, this restaurant doesn’t allow refills of rice, and the soba noodles were extremely hard and unpleasant to eat. A complete disappointment—we’re never coming back.

New soba shop exploration, a shop I had clipped for a while. I don't come around Chayamachi much so I thought if I go, I'll go. Black bean natto which is nice for natto lovers. The smell being a bit subtle was a little unsatisfying, but for the first time in a while, I was able to enjoy sticky soba. Check the night business hours on the flyer.
