A friend and I went to this place at around 1 PM, so we were the only ones there at the moment. The first thing you notice is the smell of tobacco, which can be off putting to foreigners, but it’s not entirely irregular of places like this in Japan to allow smoking. Because of this, each table has an ashtray, and locals commonly stop by to have coffee and a cigarette. The server was nice enough to explain the menu to the best of her ability, but a quick translation app also helped us see what was available. Of course, they make foreigners pay right after they order, which is fine, but it’s obvious that it’s not the case for locals, as a woman walked in and was instantly served without having to pay first. The food was excellent. I had a BLT and my friend had the cinnamon toast. I also had an iced coffee, though I can’t give a proper criticism because it’s not my preferred drink, and I only ordered it because drinks are mandatory. The bread had a nice crispiness to it, and the meat was delectable, while also being heavily complimented by the vegetables. The whole product was very light, which is exactly what I would want at a cafe. The cinnamon toast was very heavy, though, with lots of width to it and an excellent flavour when mixed with the provided syrup and strawberry jam. All together, a good experience for both locals and foreigners alike.
View on GoogleThe service is good. When a foreigner is detected, they give you a sheet with the menu in English so you can choose. But they make foreigners pay in advance; I understand that but I don't like that
