One Saturday afternoon, I usually use the ground-level ticket gates at Kintetsu Abenobashi Station, but this time, when I used the underground gates for the first time in quite a while, I found this shop. It was past 1 p.m., I happened to be hungry and there were free seats, so I went in. At the ticket machine, I ordered Ise udon (cold) and tamago kake gohan. Both were very delicious. They apparently use the popular "Hasamezu Shoyu" soy sauce from Iga City, which gave me the impression they're really particular about their ingredients. I expected the chairs to be hard, but surprisingly they were cushioned. The staff were pleasant too, and as I left they politely said, "Thank you very much. Please come again." It made me want to eat here again.

An udon and soba shop marked by a white sign, inside the ticket gates of Osaka Abenobashi Station on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line (inside the underground gates, Time's Place Abeno). It seems the former standing udon/soba shop called Abenoan was renovated. Meal ticket system. Two ticket machines outside the shop. It used to be a standing-only shop, but after the renovation it has comfortable chair seating. Table seats and counter seats. Kizami soba, 520 yen. I went at lunchtime on a weekday and it was pretty crowded, with a line of people waiting. Payment is upfront via the meal ticket machine. Various cashless payment methods were accepted.

A shop located underground inside Kintetsu Abenobashi Station. It's a standing soba/udon shop. Though it's a standing shop, there are chairs too, and the broth uses a rich soy sauce. It makes you want to drink every last drop. They use local eggs too, which are pretty good.

Riding a Kintetsu train for work for the first time in years! Thinking "Man, it's been a while since I've been to Osaka Abenobashi Station" and then it hit me—Abenoan!! Only about a minute until the train I wanted, but I wasn't in a particular hurry, so I dropped by Abenoan 🤝🏾 I used to rely on this place for breakfast when I was hungover lol It's kind of your classic station soba spot too but I feel like the portions are pretty generous 🫰🏾🫰🏾 This time I ordered kitsune soba!! Ordered from the cheerful, friendly lady and it came out right away, so reassuring!! Sipping the broth with that seriously good dashi, and the kitsune soaked through with flavor is just insanely good!! First time back in a while and I was beyond satisfied ✌🏾
