☆平岡珈琲店☆ Opened in Hirano-machi, Osaka in 1921 (Taisho 10), moved to a building in Kawara-machi 3-chome in 1981 (Showa 56), and operated there until December 28 last year. It appears to be Osaka's oldest café still actively operating. Due to the owner's intention to retire and the aging building, it relocated and resumed business in rented space at 「カフェ周(あまね)」. The menu: ・百年珈琲 (600円) ← Ordered ・Fried doughnut (280円) ・Baked doughnut (300円) ← Ordered ・Cinnamon tea doughnut (320円) Coffee beans and doughnuts are still sourced from the same suppliers, and the fried doughnuts are fried in-house using the same recipe as before. The coffee cups used for years and the clock from the previous shop are also there, leaving me immersed in nostalgia. It is a treasured place that will continue serving the taste of 平岡珈琲 that has been loved for so many years.

I visited after learning that 平岡珈琲店, which closed at the end of last year, had reopened in rented space. I had their signature doughnut and coffee. A lovely space where you can enjoy a peaceful moment despite being in an urban office district.

The shop's atmosphere is really stylish too! All the staff served us courteously, which made me happy! I thought it was a really good place for lunch◎ Of course, the food was delicious too◎ They have a daily special, so it looks like you could enjoy something every day! The little portion of curry was delicious too!

I visited at lunchtime. An overseas client I was accompanying for work wanted to try Japanese dashimaki, and this restaurant came up in a search. They said the dashimaki set meal was the most delicious meal they had eaten in Japan so far☺︎ My colleague and I had the hamburg steak set meal. The soup and side dishes were delicious too, and we were satisfied. The interior has a calm atmosphere and gets plenty of sunlight, so we could spend our time feeling relaxed. I would love to visit again when I am in the area.

This café is on the 3rd and 4th floors of a small building, and 2 women run the place. The interior is quite distinctive, with exposed concrete and retro window frames. There are several lunch options using grated daikon, but I ordered 「Daily set meal (chicken meatloaf): \650 (tax included)」. The meatloaf actually had vegetables inside and was well seasoned. The fairly large bowl of miso soup was also packed with chunks of vegetables, including root vegetables, and had a gentle flavor that was quite tasty. It's lovely to get this much for this price in this area!
