アカウシAkaushi
Genuine lean red meat that will change your image of wagyu. If you're looking for a place in Shin-Osaka / Higashi-Mikuni to enjoy delicious steak and lean red meat, business entertaining, or anniversary dinners, come to 「赤身肉ステーキダイナー アカウシ」. We are the only Tosa Akaushi specialty restaurant in Osaka. Truth is, I've loved meat since I was young. But even when I ate marbled wagyu reputed to be delicious, it would feel heavy partway through, and I wondered, "What is truly delicious wagyu?" When I decided to go independent, I resolved to "serve customers only wagyu that I genuinely find delicious," and ordered wagyu from all over Japan to compare. And what I came across was Kochi Prefecture's "Tosa Akaushi".…

View on GoogleI came here with some business owners who are important to me. Every dish, made with carefully chosen ingredients, was very delicious, and the ideas that came out of our conversation there were great too, so we had a meaningful time. It was a place I'd wanted to try, and I'm glad I got to go. I'll be back again.
View on GoogleHigashi-Mikuni, Steak Diner Akaushi ✨ A steak diner specializing in Tosa Akaushi, located between Higashi-Mikuni and Higashi-Yodogawa. This time I visited for a Golden Week meal with friends 🥩 Apparently only 0.1% of Tosa Akaushi is distributed and it's called a "phantom wagyu", so I was looking forward to it 😊 What we ordered: ・Trial course (4800円✖️2) ✨ Course contents below 🍽️ ・Tosa Akaushi roast beef with caviar ・Assorted appetizers ・Seared Tosa Akaushi meat sushi ・Lava-grilled fresh vegetables ・Tosa Akaushi lean steak of the day ・Tosa Akaushi happiness Bolognese ●Tosa Akaushi roast beef with caviar Roast beef that looks really beautiful inside. Since it's lean red meat, I thought it would taste plain, but it was very juicy and full of meaty umami❗️ The caviar on top added an accent, and it was very delicious. ●Seared Tosa Akaushi meat sushi A dish on a different level from the meat sushi often served at izakaya and such. Despite being lean, it was very tender, with zero greasiness — the meat was like a lump of umami❗️ ●Lava-grilled fresh vegetables An assortment of okra, lotus root, eggplant, zucchini, oyster mushroom (?), and paprika. Served freshly grilled. All great ingredients — a very happy dish for vegetable lovers ✨ ●Tosa Akaushi lean steak of the day On the day we visited it was ichibo steak. Grilled on the rare side inside — personally the perfect doneness 😊 Ichibo is the most marbled and fairly tender cut of the round. I could enjoy the deliciousness of both marbled and lean meat at the same time. Being able to season it to your taste with yama-wasabi, onion sauce, garlic chips, etc. is also a big plus❗️ ●Tosa Akaushi happiness Bolognese The finishing pasta. The meat's umami is strong, so it holds its own against the tomato and cheese, and the pairing was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly too — a dish that could easily be a main on its own ✨ It was my first time having Tosa Akaushi, and my impression was that it's meat with lots of umami. Since the course is built around lean red meat, I think it's a restaurant that suits older people too. It's a bit away from the city center, but it's just 2 stops from Umeda, so why not visit to eat some delicious, rare meat ✨
