Visited on a weekday night before the end of the year. An acquaintance recommended that I could eat delicious chicken dishes, so I made a reservation in advance and went. Smoking and non-smoking areas are separated, with the 1st floor seats being smoking for some reason, and the 2nd floor seats where you take off your shoes being non-smoking. (Smoking on the lower floor wasn't bothersome because almost no one was actually smoking). When I arrived at my reserved seat, the next 3 seats in a row were a year-end party group from some company. Although they hadn't toasted yet, the young people were already making a lot of noise. (Right next to them were young people, and further back in the seats were people who looked like bosses, but they didn't particularly warn the young people). It looked quite crowded, so I ordered drinks and food all at once. It took time for the drinks to arrive, and they came with the first food. (The food was also a little cold, so I wonder if employees are short...) After that, all the ordered food came out at once, and the table became overflowing with food. The food itself was very fresh and delicious, so the sashimi, tataki, and grilled dishes were all delicious. (I canceled 2 items I had ordered because they never came). During that time, the noisiness next door never stopped and steadily escalated. Because of the extreme noisiness, I asked the employee to give them a warning, but it wasn't improved. When leaving, I mentioned the same thing to someone who seemed to be the person in charge of the shop, and they said, "It can't be helped during this season..." It's a restaurant that serves very delicious food, so it's all the more disappointing in various ways.

I was glad to see that a shop I used to frequent about 5-6 years ago is still going strong, and the menu hasn't changed drastically from back then. I felt that the recommended menu (on the clear plastic sheet) had increased significantly compared to before. Despite it turning past 8:00 PM on a Sunday night, the place was packed, showing it's as popular as ever. The cute female staff member at the entrance gave brisk guidance, and the young male staff member who took our order provided very friendly service and food, but the new staff member bringing our ordered food had a soft voice and it was hard to hear what dish it was. That part is somewhat unavoidable, but I'd like them to serve food energetically! The atmosphere inside the shop was unchanged from when I used to come often, and I can confidently recommend it as a chicken restaurant. I'm also happy about the separate smoking/non-smoking seating, which smokers will appreciate.

A chain yakitori restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Keihan Kori-en Station. The main store is in Kamishinjo, with 5 locations including Takatsuki, Ikeda, Kadoma, and this Kori-en store. It's quite a popular restaurant in Kori-en, and even when making same-day reservations on holidays, it was always full and couldn't be booked, but this time I dropped by alone on a weekday after work so I was able to enter. I intended to keep it light, so I kept it down to 6 skewers of yakitori and 1 lemon sour. The only thing I thought was delicious was the skin-garlic (garlic skewers wrapped in chicken skin), while the rest were average. There are quite a number of yakitori restaurants in Kori-en and I have my favorite shops, so after eating, my impression was whether it's worth going out of my way to make a reservation here.
