Takojiro" is a popular takoyaki shop located on the main thoroughfare on the north side of Neyagawa-shi Station. Every time I come to Neyagawa, I end up stopping by this takoyaki shop. Even at 2 PM on a weekday, customers keep coming, and this time I waited about 5 minutes to buy 8 pieces of takoyaki for 500 yen. The moment you take a bite, the aroma of dashi gently wafts up. Fluffy, gooey, and piping hot, it's a comforting flavor every time you eat it. The octopus isn't huge, but I'm just grateful that it's offered at this price in this day and age. The sight of the young guy energetically grilling them at the storefront is also wonderful. It's simple, but I hope this neighborhood takoyaki shop stays around forever.

The batter is exceptionally delicious. The octopus is small (one size smaller than you'd imagine when you hear that), but in this shop's case, you buy it more to eat the batter than the octopus, so I can easily eat 8 pieces by myself. I think it's the best in Neyagawa, but when I asked someone, they said it was the best in Osaka! Haha

The base batter is soy-sauce flavored, and many people seem to go with sauce and mayonnaise. The grilling is firm on the outside yet gooey on the inside, and while the octopus is super small, I felt the size and sauce were nice. Be prepared for a 20-minute wait.

Suddenly had a craving for takoyaki and found this place by searching Tabelog✨ It's a shop located along the road about an 8-minute walk from Neyagawa-shi Station✨ The signboard has a melancholic charm, giving off a long-established vibe that builds up a lot of expectation✨ I heard you can make a phone reservation, so I called: 'I'll be there in 10 minutes!' True to word, when I arrived 10 minutes later, despite it being 5 PM, there was a line of cars waiting for takoyaki and a crowd in front of the shop✨✨ Thinking this might take a while, I called out just in case, and my portion was ready! ✨ Man, phone reservations are the best! When making the phone reservation, I also asked for sauce and spicy mayonnaise✨ I looked at the pickup package, and the packaging alone conveys how delicious it is ✨✨ The menu: ● Takoyaki 6 pcs: 400 yen ● Takoyaki 8 pcs: 500 yen ● Takoyaki 10 pcs: 600 yen ● Takoyaki 12 pcs: 700 yen ● Kaitanyaki: 150 yen (I think!) Time to go home and dig in!!!! Quite large balls, the soy sauce flavor combined with the moderate sauce taste and spicy mayonnaise is tremendous, and thanks to the grated yam inside, it's quite fluffy and gooey— Extremely delicious!!! First time hitting the jackpot on takoyaki in a while! A bit far from the station, but you should definitely eat this ✨ Discovered a hidden gem ₍₍ ◝(●˙꒳˙●)◜ ₎₎

Finally got to try the rumored Takojiro. Slightly large and gooey on the inside. It was as delicious as rumored. I'll go buy some again.
