I don't really want to post this place... My local favourite eatery. Only counter seating. Great food. Excellent Sushi, great variety of other dishes. Open until 3 am, that's a bonus 🥰👍

The exterior gives off an intimidating or slightly disappointing vibe, but once you step inside, it was truly a proper dining establishment. The plating is beautiful, and I am in awe of the master's crisp, taciturn work. All the fish is fresh. Service speed is fast and they have everything. The taste of fish where every preparation has been properly done. Drinking and eating for 3 people came to 12,000 yen.

Visited along with an old friend. It seems to have been in business for 50 years. I believe my first visit was in 2018. The taste, the master, and the older female staff remain wonderfully unchanged. Since I took lots of photos this time, I'm posting them. I got full (^^) Thank you very much. Thank you for the meal. Will drive over to visit again ^_^

A long-established izakaya in Kourien I've been visiting since I was little... The atmosphere from the old days remains unchanged, and it is still very comfortable today. The specialty is probably the Akashiyaki. The oden, which you inevitably end up ordering, is also good. Udon is good for finishing up after drinking. You end up ordering sushi alongside it too. A renowned shop that I hope stays unchanged forever.

Honestly speaking, the exterior doesn't give off a vibe that raises your expectations, but this is a shop I'd highly recommend to those who love Akashiyaki and fresh fish. Just remembering the freshly made, fluffy Akashiyaki eaten in delicious dashi makes me want to eat it. Since red pickled ginger is inside, those who dislike it can probably mention it beforehand. The assorted sushi platters are also delicious one by one. The beef tataki and bonito tataki come with plenty of condiments. Is the ponzu a bit on the sharp side? The udon and soba also have varieties like a specialty shop. However, like a high-end restaurant, the fresh fish menu items don't have prices written on them (even the whiteboard menu), making it feel a bit hard to order. Since it was far from my seat, I don't have a photo, but prices aren't written at the sushi topping case either. Being an ordinary person, I can't consult my wallet, and feeling embarrassed to ask makes me think 'if I'm 80% full, I'll just skip ordering' lol. Inside is counter seating only. There are two entrances and you can enter from either. Open from 17:00 to 3:00, closed on Sundays and holidays.
