Came with family for dinner. Visited with a reservation as it's a popular restaurant. Located in a residential area about a 5-minute walk from Neyagawa-shi Station, it was bustling with many customers this day as well. The owner is a former professional sumo wrestler, so I was looking forward to authentic chanko nabe. The chanko soup had a gentle flavor yet was mysteriously addictive, packed with plenty of ingredients. The children were delighted, eating and saying 'Delicious!'. The finishing zosui rice porridge had a perfect match between the soup infused with umami and rice, making us completely satisfied until the end. There are also plenty of sashimi and a la carte dishes, so it seems usable even outside the hot pot season. I understood why it's been loved locally for a long time. I'd like to visit with family again.
View on GoogleAll the restaurant staff are friendly and the food is delicious! It's also an option to peck at chanko nabe while watching sumo broadcasts. By chance, the final bout ended with an uchari (throw-down technique), resulting in the referee making a wrong call for the first time in over 10 years, creating a buzz both in the venue and inside the restaurant.
View on GoogleAttracted by the signboard, we used this place. Besides chanko nabe, we ordered sashimi, karaage, dote-yaki, and horse sashimi. Everything was delicious. As for the main chanko nabe, it had a very refined and delicious flavor. Both the udon and zosui were delicious.
View on GoogleOne of Neyagawa City's famous restaurants where you can enjoy reasonably priced chanko nabe. It's located about a 5-minute walk from the Keihan station. There are plenty of set types, and I'm grateful that you can combine chanko nabe with an all-you-can-drink plan on the spot. The chanko nabe features a light, gentle clear soup, packed with vegetables making it a body-friendly dish. The sashimi sets and separately ordered tendon stew were also delicious. I think it's the ultimate experience to sit on the tatami in a large group, peck at chanko nabe while watching professional sumo on TV, though soaking in the food and drinks alone at the counter is also recommended. A famous restaurant around Neyagawa-shi Station.
