A slightly stylish okonomiyaki restaurant. The gentle hospitality of the owner and his wife is NICE. In particular, the wife's attentiveness to customers was truly impressive. Okonomiyaki itself is of very ordinary deliciousness. Unfortunately, it felt like the [style] part of Hiroshima-style and Kansai-style fit a bit too literally. The biggest disappointment was that the Hiroshima-yaki didn't have squid tempura topping. The single word [style] never left my head until the very end... After trying all the popular menu items, the most delicious was the 'Sujikon Negi-yaki (Soy Sauce Flavor)'. This is a genuine Kansai-style dish using beef tendon stew properly simmered in-house. It's a highly recommended menu item that pairs exceptionally well with green onions! The interior atmosphere and hospitality are so great that you can honestly find the food delicious even if it's average. I think it's a valuable okonomiyaki restaurant in terms of being a place that satisfies the heart.
View on GoogleCozy place, the restaurant staff were friendly and had a nice vibe. They also have a lot of a la carte items. Okonomiyaki has variations like Hiroshima-style, etc.
View on GoogleFor the okonomiyaki, you could choose between Hiroshima-style and regular okonomiyaki, and I chose the regular okonomiyaki. Rather than the usual heavy-flour, well-done style that hints a bit at Hiroshima-yaki, it was an okonomiyaki packed full of cabbage. For the yakisoba, I chose the spicy noodles for an extra 220 yen. I'm not good with spicy food so it was a bit spicy, but it was delicious. Also, the mapo tofu was around 650 yen, but the quality was exceptionally high. It's authentic enough to rival a Chinese restaurant. Eating and drinking various other things came to about 3,000 yen per person. Best value for money, and the staff are friendly.
View on GoogleIt's a slightly Showa-retro style shop, and Kōrien has many places like this. And it's definitely delicious. The menu has a lot of varieties, and I think you wouldn't be able to conquer the whole menu without visiting a few times. This time I ordered horumon-yaki, Hiroshima-yaki pork, and tonpeiyaki. The master runs it alone, but the food came out at high speed, right away. Simply put, it's delicious. The horumon-yaki is properly seasoned, and the fat part is kept piping hot. Even remembering it now makes my mouth start to water. Not all sauces and condiments are left on the table, but the master's seasoning is delicious enough. My wife kept saying that the sauce and mayonnaise on the Hiroshima-yaki are exquisitely delicious. I went in at 5:00 PM on a Saturday, and reservation calls kept flooding in one after another, so it definitely must be popular.
View on GoogleI ordered okonomiyaki and yakisoba, and both were delicious. After that, I suppose it's a matter of preference. The batter is fluffy, the portion is gentle, and if anything, it might be good for women. I wanted to add more sauce, but it wasn't on the table, so I thought it would be better if they provided it.
