A ramen shop located in the Korien area, Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture, featuring a "W-soup" that combines the rich flavor of niboshi (dried sardines) with animal-based richness. Easily accessible within walking distance from the Keihan "Korien Station", it is supported by locals as well as ramen fans visiting from afar. Characterized by a rich taste that lets you feel firm umami and depth despite its light mouthfeel, it's a bowl that once you eat it, you'll get addicted to. The aroma of niboshi and the richness of animal broth harmonize exquisitely, allowing you to enjoy it without getting tired until the last bite. In addition, the signature "Takotsubo Ramen" is also popular, which is a must-try for spicy food lovers. The spiciness can be chosen in stages such as "Yakedo" (Burn), "Boya" (Small Fire), "Hanyaki" (Half Burned), and "Zenkyo" (Fully Burned), besides...

A short walk from Keihan Korien Station, just about 3 minutes away to Mendo Hattori. My goal this time is the signature dish with an outstanding visual impact, "Takotsubo Ramen (900 yen)". First of all, the moment it was served, my gaze was completely locked on it. The bowl turned out to be an actual "takotsubo" (octopus trap). This visual alone gives a slight event-like feel. Moreover, this takotsubo is not just a gimmick, but a device to enhance heat retention and keep the spiciness from escaping. The interesting point is how the appearance and function are solidly connected. The spiciness has 4 challenging levels by naming: "Yakedo -> Boya -> Hanyaki -> Zenkyo". This time I chose "Boya" just to test the waters 😛 Time for a bite. Although I imagined a rich miso-based type from the redness, the reality is a pork and chicken double soup. While having a solid richness, the spiciness is at a mild level and well-balanced. It's the type that gradually warms the inside of the body, and the feeling of sweat gently oozing on the forehead is comfortable. The noodles are curly noodles that pick up the soup well, and every time it goes into the mouth, the umami and spiciness intertwine tightly. The separately served chashu is tender, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture that gives high satisfaction. The seasoned menma is also a good accent, boosting the overall perfection. And the part that personally caught my eye was the Anpanman naruto added for some reason. Even though it's strictly an adult ramen, the feeling of a fancy worldview suddenly being inserted here is exquisite, a playful touch that makes you smile. The soup is kept piping hot until the end thanks to the takotsubo effect. The more you eat, the more you sweat, but mysteriously your chopsticks don't stop. It's a bowl that integrates spiciness, umami, and a little fun. It's such an addictive ramen that makes you want to try the next level up, "Hanyaki", next time. 26-3 Leons Building, Korishinmachi, Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture Mendo Hattori PR #ramen #raamen #ramen

This is a shop that used to operate at the Nakafuri Intersection. Around where Route 1 and Route 170 merge. For those who frequently use cars, you might think, "Ah, that placeー". It is currently operating brilliantly until late at night in Korien. The exterior is very flashy. Inside the shop, there are only counter seats, making it cozy. I was extremely curious about the menu I had never heard of called Takotsubo Ramen, but since it's my first visit, I had the No. 1 recommendation, tsukemen, first. "Rich Tsukemen" A dipping soup impressive with niboshi that is supported by animal-based ingredients without being unpleasant, yet firmly effective. The presence of the sauce is also large, and while there are parts that might seem a bit forced, in terms of understandability, it is impeccable, and you can clearly feel what this shop wants to convey. Plasticity-like noodles whose chewy texture seems rare in recent years. Usually served as atsumori (warm noodles). The impression is casual, but it's a type of noodles I personally like. It's especially great for casually slurping late at night. Even after the meal, Takotsubo Ramen wouldn't leave my head, so a return visit is a must to try it out.

I stopped by on the way back from drinking. Since I make it a rule to order tsukemen at shops that offer it, I ordered it. For the noodles, regular, medium, and large portions are the same price. I feel like at many shops, the tsukemen soup is rich and somewhat thick, but here it is light and doesn't have many ingredients inside. It fell slightly short of my expectations for tsukemen. Payment via PayPay was accepted.

I think it's a good shop. Although it's an independent shop, Overall the level is high. The rice is also delicious.

Visited on a business trip. Stopped by because it happened to be near the hotel. I had the tsukemen. Available up to large portion for the same price. The tsukemen is hearty and fills you up. There is nothing particularly distinctive about the dipping soup. Average, neither good nor bad. However, after entering, I was bothered by a strange smell inside the shop. It was a smell I wasn't very fond of.
