Great broth with loads of flavour, and a really relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

Visited after learning they have tsukemen. This time I ordered the tsukemen and the Galician chestnut pork melting chashu rice bowl (small). It seems you can choose the chashu for the tsukemen between pork and free-range chicken, and I chose pork this time. Noodles are flat, extra-thick noodles with a chewy texture. The rich dipping broth clings well, making it very filling. Serving style kept the dipping broth piping hot and bubbling. Tsukemen tend to get cold in the second half, so this style was a very welcome point. The soup is a rich, creamy collagen-packed style aged by combining beef tendon, vegetables, fruits, seafood, miso, soy sauce, etc. It has a strong thickness with a complex flavor layering various umami, hard to express in a single word like "this!", but it is definitely delicious. The chashu rice bowl looked a bit different from expected, but the chashu had a strong soy sauce-based seasoning that makes you want to eat more rice. True to its name, it was soft and satisfying. One point, the soup is quite hot and easy to splash, so it would be even nicer if there was an apron service. A highly satisfying bowl when you want to thoroughly enjoy thick-style tsukemen.

The perfection of the tsukemen served at their sister restaurant "Menya Moriki Ikoma" was extremely high, and this is a place I've been curious about for a long time. Upon arrival, there was no outside line. I thought I could get in smoothly... but the L-shaped counter was almost full. It's clear that it has strong support mainly from local customers. The interior is bright and clean, and the rich soup aroma from the kitchen stimulates the appetite. This time's order is "Tsukemen (Regular)". The bowl was served after waiting about 15 minutes. In a heavy, large bowl, beautifully arranged whole-grain extra-thick flat noodles. And a piping-hot rich soup served in a separate bowl. From the visuals, it's clearly no ordinary dish. First, just the noodles. The aroma of coarsely ground whole grain rises up, and when chewed, the texture is beyond chewy to super-mochi. A high-quality noodle with strong firmness and a gentle spreading sweetness of wheat. This alone is star material. Next, the soup. A potage-style rich soup made by aging Galician chestnut pork, young chicken, pork skin, vegetables, fruits, seafood, and high-quality soy sauce. Taking a sip, the texture on the tongue is viscous. The animal-based richness comes to the fore, while the seafood flavor is just right so it doesn't feel heavy. The collagen-derived concentration clings well to the noodles, and every slurping brings out the umami. The toppings are also spot on. The rolled chashu has the high-quality fat sweetness typical of Galician chestnut pork. Dipping it in the soup raises the umami by one level. The seasoned egg is sticky and rich, holding its presence even against the thick soup. The menma has just the right crispiness, and the fresh aroma of mitsuba provides a touch so it doesn't become overwhelmingly heavy. Even the regular portion is plenty filling. In the second half, the soup's umami comes together even more, and I finished it without getting tired until the end. Did I dip the soup too much? There was no soup left for soup-wari (haha)! Next time I want to enjoy soup-wari too, so I'll eat more skillfully. The perfection I felt in Ikoma was indeed the real deal. A bowl that makes even me, who rarely orders tsukemen, think "I want to eat it again". Next time with a large portion (haha)! Once again, this was a highly satisfying bowl.

In the mood for a hearty meal, went for tsukemen 🍜 Visited on a day when I wanted to eat a lot. Ordered the large duck tsukemen with green onion and seasoned egg toppings, plus a large bowl of pesticide-free rice and homemade boiled dumplings, and thoroughly enjoyed it. [Visuals] The dipping broth has a rich look that seems packed with duck umami. The noodles are also neatly arranged and appetizing. [Dipping Broth] First bite. The richness and umami of duck are clearly felt, offering a deep flavor. Not too overpowering and well-balanced, the kind of type that makes you want to keep eating more. [Noodles] The noodles have firmness, coat well with the dipping broth, and could be enjoyed deliciously to the end even in a large portion. [Toppings] A unique feature is being able to choose chashu between Galician chestnut pork or young chicken, which was great to enjoy according to preference. The green onions and seasoned egg were also consistently delicious. [Sides] The completely pesticide-free rice was simply delicious and paired exceptionally with the tsukemen. The homemade boiled dumplings also had a gentle flavor, high satisfaction level. [Interior & Access] Since the restaurant only has counter seating, turnover seems fast, but wheelchair access might be a bit difficult. Advance confirmation is recommended. [Parking] There is no dedicated parking lot, but there is a coin-operated parking lot opposite. [Others] I didn't check for vegetarian options, but felt a sense of relief knowing they use pesticide-free rice. Thank you for the meal 😋

Visited lured by the visuals. Ordered tsukemen. The dipping sauce is sweet, noodles are like udon. Tiring to eat. Can't feel the aroma of wheat. Egg cutting is sloppy. About 2 flies are flying inside the shop and the sink visible from the counter is very unsanitary. The tableware served is chipped. Lots of disappointing things as a restaurant stood out. Isn't there things to do before being particular about the product?
