There’s a café called “Pinocchio” along 旧京阪道. It had a touch of that nostalgic Showa-era coffee shop atmosphere, so I decided to step inside. Their menu features all the classic dishes you’d expect from a retro café, like オムライスand ナポリタン. Surprisingly, though, it’s actually a chain that was founded in 2021. The staff don’t seem like employees of a franchise — more like family members running their own place. It feels like a comfortable family restaurant, and you can really see the company’s dedication and effort.

Visited around 8 AM on Sunday, Jan 4. Customers were almost completely full. Ordered the Lucky Plate with iced cafe au lait. 980 yen. Voluminous and fills you up. I'm glad it comes with spaghetti. Although it was crowded, the food came out surprisingly fast.

While riding my bicycle past on the way home from a part-time job, I saw a picture of Napolitan and got hungry, so I made a U-turn and entered the shop. It was around before 19:00 so it wasn't crowded, and I could get a seat immediately. The iron-plate Napolitan was soooo delicious! Registering as a LINE friend gave me 1 free drink. It seems there are also discounts for 3 other types! Thank you very much ♪

Ordered the daily special lunch and cream soda. Because it's lunch, the portion was relatively small. The cream soda was delicious and I was satisfied with the taste, but at checkout, the clerk's attitude was way too bad! Even though I asked because I didn't understand about the stamp card, they didn't explain properly either, and with a throwaway attitude the happy mood cooled down all at once. I will never go to this shop again. It's extremely regrettable, especially since the service and response at the Dainichi Aeon branch were good.
