I visited after a long time. It is run by an elderly couple. They serve freshly made tempura so it's crispy, hot, and delicious.
View on GoogleAfter moving here and wondering about it for a while, we finally went to have the fugu course at night. My husband was moved right from the very first dish of yubiki (parboiled blowfish skin). All the fugu dishes were delicious. The zosui (rice porridge) at the very end had the most perfectly balanced and amazing flavor. The ornaments and paintings were lovely, and the interior was kept very clean. I hope the elderly couple can continue to do their best without overdoing it. We plan to go eat tempura next time.
View on GoogleUsed it for lunch. I had the tempura set meal. They fry the tempura after you order, so you can eat it freshly made. Stimulating small side dishes were also delicious. 900 yen for this volume and quality is cheap! Even after a few hours, I didn't feel any heaviness in my stomach, so I think the oil they use is quite good. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI had a strong craving for tempura during my day off, so I searched on Google and came to try it out. What I had today was the Tensei Meal. Tempura, sashimi, and either zaru soba or rice. It is 2,000 yen including tax, but it had a good volume and I enjoyed it very much. Inside the restaurant, there are 3 table seats and a counter. There is also a parking lot with 3 spaces in front of the shop, making it an easy place to visit. The restaurant is run by just the owner and his wife. I came during lunchtime on Sunday and it was quite full. Visiting a bit early is recommended.
View on GoogleThis tempura kappo restaurant is located in Izumo-cho, Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture. It has been around for at least 15 years and is loved by local tempura lovers. Hearing the word 'kappo' naturally makes one imagine something high-class, and for many years I avoided looking into it properly, but they actually have a great-value lunch menu (laughs). Come to think of it, I now realize that whenever I passed by during lunchtime, there were quite a few people coming and going. If you are coming by car, there are 3 parking spaces available across the street in a monthly parking lot. Inside the restaurant with its traditional Japanese dining atmosphere, run by a couple, they live up to the name 'kappo' by not having any pre-fried tempura sitting around for lunch. Instead, they deep-fry seasonal vegetables and seafood to a crisp only after receiving an order. This time, I had the tempura bowl (tendon) and my wife had the tempura set meal. The ingredients for the tempura bowl were 2 shrimp, flounder, green chili pepper, lotus root, chikuwa tube cake, pumpkin, and a small vegetable kakiage. Rather than rice with sauce drizzled over white rice, it was rice where the flavor was evenly mixed throughout. Furthermore, a feature of Tensei is that sansho (Japanese pepper) is sprinkled on top. From the very first bite, alongside the hot and crispy texture, a spicy kick rushes through. The set meal style did not use sansho or salt, but was meant to be enjoyed with tentsuyu dipping sauce. Every piece of tempura proudly served by the owner was delicious, and some regular female customers sitting nearby were chatting about how they always come back here whenever they regularly crave good tempura (^-^ Also, the tempura scraps (tenkasu) at the tempura shop are free to take home, packaged in small bags stacked next to the register. I didn't hesitate to take two packs and put them in my udon, and it was incomparably more delicious than supermarket tenkasu♪ I'd love to savor the evening menu next time. #NeyagawaCityOsaka #NeyagawaCityLunch #DeliciousTempura #DeliciousRice #NeyagawaCityTempura #NeyagawaCityKappo
