A classic kissaten operating for 55 years in this area of Kōrien ✨ Run by an elderly couple, though nowadays the son(?) seems to be running the show instead A wonderfully Showa-nostalgic interior that makes it a cozy place ✨ It was my first time having a classic kissaten breakfast, but just the atmosphere puts you in a nostalgic mood 🥹✨ Now, getting to the main point, you can enjoy breakfast all day here, and for just 100 yen on top of a 400 yen cup of coffee, you can enjoy 2 types: ●Toast Breakfast ●Hot Sandwich Breakfast This time I got the salad, boiled egg, and toast breakfast ✨ And their coffee has long held freshly ground beans as its motto, making it rich in aroma and simply luxurious ✨✨✨ I was moved by the set that fills your belly from the morning 🥺✨ I'd love to visit again for this old-school classic kissaten ✨✨

Morning set 500 yen Coffee included for just one coin these days ‼️ Toast is super delicious!! Boiled egg is hard-boiled... The coffee also has body and a great aroma! The restaurant's atmosphere is retro and good!

I'm someone who visited at the beginning of March, right after finishing work as a PR staff member at a certain supermarket. A regular customer treated me to coffee, and the taste of that coffee and the breakfast was so delicious it almost brought me to tears, and the shop owner was so warm... The emotion of "feeling human kindness through coffee" is something I still haven't forgotten. And the friendly, warm atmosphere of the people in Kōrien feels like a treasure to me. Right now, I injured my knee due to sports and can't go even though I want to, but someday, I'd love to visit again. Thank you truly for the warm time.

Recommended for morning & classic kissaten lovers. I used to live nearby, a heartwarming cafe run by the son. It was featured on TV♬ Things like Napolitan bring back good memories ✨

A classic kissaten like an antique carved in golden time Located a short walk down the shopping street close to Kōrien Station, this cafe was meticulously designed as a passion project of an antique-loving master. The entire interior glows in golden hues, boasting a beauty akin to an antique itself. The unusual, large curved counter was custom-designed, and the master reportedly named it "Kamon" (family crest) because he wanted to give it an unusual name. A handmade clock adorned with nuts and macaroni adds a gorgeous touch to the interior, even if it has stopped telling time after decades. Pendulum clocks are displayed across the walls so customers won't get bored, as customers find them nostalgic. It was bustling with local customers, couples, and groups of friends, and the cheerful mama kindly said, "Please take pictures of anything!", while the modest master politely answered my numerous questions. The blend coffee (350 yen) was mellow and easy to drink, and the waffle set (600 yen) had a traditional, thin, and crispy texture. It's a kissaten that still has matches—a rarity nowadays—and I was given a few of the remaining matches he said he found the other day. He mentioned plans to hold a 50th-anniversary event in the fall of 2019.
