A hidden gem in Neyagawa Ichibangai, a 3-minute walk from Neyagawa-shi Station. I went in thinking "Is this just an ordinary neighborhood Chinese place?", but what came out was super authentic Sichuan cuisine. I totally let my guard down. The "Tantanmen" in particular is numbing-spicy, rich, and superb. And the perfectly separate grains of the "Chahan" show professional skill. The gyoza are browned perfectly too—whatever you eat, there are no misses. It's a quiet place that doesn't even do social media, but the quality of the food is incredible. If you want legit Chinese food near the station, I definitely recommend this place!

I had the mapo tofu set meal and the ramen and fried rice set. You can choose the spice level of the mapo tofu. The spiciness was addictive. The flavor was closer to the Chinese version than the Japanese one.

In the morning, on the way back from a medical checkup at the hospital, I stopped in for lunch. It's in the covered arcade shopping street near Neyagawa-shi Station. I ordered age soba (crispy fried noodles) and gyoza. The mapo tofu looked tasty too, but I'll save it for next time. The age soba is thick fried noodles topped with a slightly strong-flavored thick sauce, with a simple, homey taste. The portion was on the small side. The gyoza had a gentle flavor with only a subtle garlic taste. You can pay with Rakuten Pay and PayPay too. The staff were friendly, and it had a homey, comfortable atmosphere.
