This is a dining spot with the ultimate cost performance Omurice 600 yen Chicken cream croquette 300 yen Run by an elderly couple It's a Showa-retro dining spot A place where you can catch your breath and relax The master dressed in a chef's uniform makes the omurice and croquette, and the landlady in an apron brings them to your table Instead of plain water, she served cold tea - The omurice is also delicious and has a light, easy-to-eat feel - The chicken cream croquette, for 300 yen, I thought it would just be one, but it came with two so I couldn't finish it and took one home (I think the takeout container cost 10 or 20 yen) Maybe a lot of people order too much because it's too cheap, can't finish it, and take it home 🤭 It's a bit of a walk from Kayashima Station, maybe about a 7-minute walk?
View on Google2026.01.28 I'm visiting Kayashima Station. It's lunchtime so I searched and hit upon a Showa-style diner that I like, and though it's a bit far, I went. Upon entering the shop, a stylish granddad wearing a chef's hat and chef's uniform is coolly cooking. I ordered the 600 yen omurice and it was served quickly. It had a fair amount of chicken as an ingredient and the portion was quite large even without ordering large size. The person eating next to me had the grilled pork set meal, and that grilled pork also had a pretty large portion, making it feel like a great deal. Thanks for the meal 😋
View on GoogleThis is a restaurant where an elderly couple serves warm, homemade set meals. Generous portions and delicious, Just like the restaurant's name, it makes you happy. Both the daily special set meal and the regular menu items are all delicious.
View on GoogleOverall impression is a bit firm. Might be tough for people with weak jaws. The taste is home-style. A shop beloved by locals.
View on GoogleLocated in a residential area, this is a traditional set-meal restaurant run by an elderly couple, and it offers great value for money. Today, I had the "Daily Special Set Meal (Large Rice)," and all the dishes were home-style, warming my heart and very delicious. Regular rice is 650 yen, but making the rice large size is only +30 yen. Aside from me, there were 4 other customers, and 3 of them were eating "Omurice," so next time I would like to try the "Omurice.
