Visited Minoh Falls for the first time and it was absolutely beautiful! The waterfall is stunning, nestled in the lush, forested park setting. The hike along the paved trail is scenic and enjoyable, following the river through the trees—perfect for a refreshing nature escape near Osaka.Practical tips that made the visit smoother: There’s available parking up near the falls, which is super convenient if you’re driving. Bathrooms are available along the path, so you don’t have to worry about that. At the waterfall itself, there’s a stall selling snacks and drinks—great for a quick refreshment after the walk.Highly recommend bringing comfortable shoes, especially for the hike back up to the parking lot (it’s a steady incline). Overall, a gorgeous spot that’s worth the trip. I’d love to return in autumn for the maple leaves!

Visited during the summer. The waterfall and surrounding nature are beautiful, peaceful, and very green. If you’re not in a hurry and have some extra time, it’s a nice place to stop by. However, I don’t think it’s really worth walking all the way here from the temple just for the waterfall. Taking a taxi is a much better option. If you have limited time, I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip here. But if you have plenty of time and enjoy quiet natural spots, it’s a nice little stop. 🌿💦

Minoh Falls is a beautiful natural attraction just outside Osaka, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful escape from the city. The walk through the forest is refreshing, with lush greenery, fresh air, and the relaxing sound of flowing water along the way. The waterfall itself is impressive and creates a beautiful atmosphere surrounded by nature. I really enjoyed the scenic walk and peaceful surroundings. A great place for hiking, photography, and enjoying the natural beauty of Japan.

It was pretty crowded, and I didn't feel the view was worth the trip. That said, I imagine the scenery is much more impressive during the autumn foliage season. The downhill walk through the park was pleasant and not particularly strenuous. The area is generally well maintained. Along the way, you will find a number of stalls with drinks and snacks.

I can imagine how this place is very beautiful in the fall. We visited in May and it was nice. We went to Katsuoji Temple so we decided we should visit the falls too. Make sure you have enough energy though cause theres still a lot of walking. There is a long curvy walk down the falls and would need to hike back up the hill to get back. It is paved though but still a lot of walking. Would recommend taking the taxi coming from Katsuoji, especially if there are kids with you. Also bring snacks cause theres no restaurants around the area.
