For a ramen restaurant, I think the price is generally higher and amount of food lower, but they have many varieties and the atmosphere and staff are comfortable and welcoming. It was a nice evening meal and to try a new place. The flavours are subtle but they develop as eating. Red Miso and Special ramen are recommended.

View on GoogleVisited "Hakata Ramen Genkotsu Minoh Branch" along Route 171. Though a chain store, this place serves Hakata ramen featuring a somewhat unique soup, which might divide opinions. The inside of the store has many family customers, with a lively and easy-to-enter atmosphere. The customer service was also polite and pleasant. The price is reasonable as ramen, and I think it's a shop you can easily drop by.
View on GoogleI used to visit the Mishimagaoka branch often 17 years ago, but since it closed long ago, this Minoh branch is the second time in 17 years since then. In my memory, I had a good image as a "high cost-performance ramen" so I entered with some expectations. It was past 13:00, but there were only about 2 groups in the shop, and we were seated right away. Ordered the standard "Genkotsu Ramen" here. Served in 6 to 7 minutes. The served ramen completely matched my faint memory, with bean sprouts and plenty of chashu toppings, and this clear soup. The memory of the noodles had completely vanished, but when I lifted the noodles with chopsticks, "Huh?" Were these curly noodles? I, who had assumed they were straight, was taken aback, but when I slurped a bite, yeah, it goes with the soup! Successfully overwriting my memory. Speaking of Hakata ramen, kaedama is the default, but these slightly heavy curly noodles might not be very suitable for kaedama. I added one full ball, but since it was a bit heavy, half a ball would have been enough. And if I'm going to kaedama, I feel like satisfaction would definitely be higher if combined with abundant side menus, such as attaching half-fried rice from the set menu. Given that over these 17 years I have eaten various tonkotsu ramen in authentic Kyushu, when compared to the authentic place, the taste of the ramen itself inevitably falls behind, but in terms of total power with side menus, the cost-performance is high.
