The 3 of us ordered the chirashizushi with 5 kinds of fish. It was just fantastic. The pieces were big, fresh and accompanied with some side dishes that include smaller fishes, seaweed etc. it was one of the best lunches I had during my two week-trip in Japan. We paid around 20$ cad per person, which is an absolute bargain. We will go back at our next visit of Minoh.
View on GoogleIt's always crowded with locals during lunch and dinner time, so be ready to stand in line. The food quality is so good with fresh seafood and delicious menu options that change based on seasons. This time we ordered the Unagi + Sashimi set and the Kaki Furai set (oysters). Both were so good and satisfying! Verdict: No english menu, and most of their seasonal menu is handwritten, so if you don't understand Japanese I suggest you to come here with your Japanese friend / someone who can understand Japanese. Please do your best to not cause troubles for the staff, they are doing their best to serve during the crowded customers.
View on GoogleWe go often for lunch. Always delicious and very fresh fish. Particularly good tuna (I usually order the bluefin tuna dish). One of the best "otoro" I have had in Japan.
View on GoogleThis is a wonderful traditional Japanese restaurant where the seafood is exceptionally fresh, brought directly from the fish market after being caught early in the morning. The restaurant is very popular and lively, especially during peak hours, which reflects how much locals truly love it. The entire experience is conducted in Japanese, creating an authentic atmosphere, but modern translation apps now make it easy and enjoyable for everyone to appreciate. Takeout is also available, and there is convenient car parking, making it accessible as well as memorable.
View on GoogleNice place in Kitasenri to try some fresh fish from Osaka market. The owner has a direct connection with the central fish market in Osaka and he purchases the ingredients directly from there. The lunch menu has plenty of choices with some items in the menu changing depending on what fish was non the market in that day. Definitely their Kaisen-don! For some of the menu you can also have the option of having both the sashimi and grilled version of a fish in the same plate.
