Minoh, ジェット 8th floor, ニューム members-only café~ It changed names from ソック → 萬栄 → ジェット, but I still keep calling it ソック. There's a separate space for ニューム members, and within that there's also a café space, on the 8th floor of the East Building. For cars, there's a partner parking lot you can use during business hours if you spend 2000 yen or more shopping. The dedicated bus can be used from Senri-Chuo, Minoh-Kayano, and Handai-mae. This space — on a weekend? plus maybe because there was an event? — had a waiting board out, and I once couldn't get in because it was so packed. This time I went on a weekday, so I got in right away. They carry cakes from シェナカツカ, also in Minoh, so I went with cake. I had a soufflé-like cake and a drink. I've only been to シェナカツカ once, when it opened. Having it again after a long time, it was delicious.
View on GoogleAn authentic Western-style lunch in a relaxed atmosphere Cafe de la Paix **Rating:** ★★★★☆ (4.0) **Visited:** December 2025 --- **Overall** A café restaurant inside a hotel in Minoh Semba. You can enjoy authentic Western-style food in a calm atmosphere. The roast beef and grand menu are extensive, and the cake sets are popular too. **Food & Taste** I had the roast beef set meal. The tenderly roasted beef pairs well with the rich sauce, and it comes with salad and mashed potatoes. The rice is cooked plump and fluffy, making for a well-balanced meal. Prices run from about 800 yen〜1,600 yen, so it's good value for money. **Atmosphere** The spacious interior is bright and clean, with wooden tables and elegant chairs. There are partitions between seats, so privacy is ensured. The natural light from the windows is pleasant, making it a space where you can enjoy your meal at leisure. **Service & Facilities** ・Cash only (no credit cards or e-money) ・Limits on the number of guests per time slot ・Cakes must be ordered as a set with a drink ・Hydroponic vegetable corner in the restaurant (you can feel their commitment to fresh vegetables) **Drinks** The standard menu (blend coffee, iced coffee, tea, etc.) is 200 yen, and ginger ale and lemon squash are 500 yen — reasonable. The iced coffee is served in a double-walled glass, with attention paid to temperature too. **Highlights** - Calm atmosphere, ideal for business lunches and girls' get-togethers - Fresh salads made with home-grown vegetables - Wide variety of cakes (shortcake, Mont Blanc, fruit tart, etc.) **Points to Note** - Payment is cash only - Cakes can't be ordered on their own (drink set required) - May be crowded depending on the time of day **Recommended for** ✓ Those who want to enjoy a meal in a calm atmosphere ✓ Those who want to enjoy authentic Western-style food at a reasonable price ✓ Those who want a relaxing tea time with a cake set --- 1. **Clarify the target audience** - Add specific scenarios like “business lunch,” “girls' get-together,” “lunch with mom friends” - If there's info on stroller access or bringing kids, including it would be more helpful 2. **Add information** - Parking info (it's in a hotel, so there should be parking) - Whether reservations are accepted - Whether Wi-Fi is available - Specific business hours 3. **Make better use of photos** - Both food photos and menu photos already posted (◎) - Plenty of interior atmosphere photos too (◎) - The hydroponic corner is distinctive and should be emphasized - “A hidden-gem café in the Semba area! Enjoy authentic Western food and cake” - “A quality lunch in a calm space inside a hotel” - “Proud of our home-grown vegetables! An authentic café restaurant in Minoh Semba” - Highlight the hydroponic vegetables up front (a strong differentiator) - List the variety of cakes specifically - Reframe “cash only” from a drawback into a positive: “precisely because it's the cashless era, it feels relaxing
View on GoogleThe woman at reception is shockingly unpleasant. Her reluctance is on full display, no smile of course, and when I asked for one thing, she checked with a “what a pain” look on her face. A customer who came up to the register not knowing the order was ignored while she called out other people's names. She could've just said a word to them, but she couldn't even do that — that's really something. With service like that, I think a machine would be better. If you can't do customer service, you shouldn't take a customer service job, I thought. It was the person handling reception until around 14:00 on 25/2/14. By the way, the other staff didn't say anything when people left, either.
