Lunch at 'Youshoku Kosugi' in Amamigaido, Matsubara-shi Came here past 13:00 since I was in the neighborhood and decided to eat here. Located in a rather manic area so it's a bit hard to find. Only one table was open. A Showa-chic yoshoku restaurant with quite a lot of charm. Immediately ordered the fried oysters for 1,200 yen, and my partner ordered C set for 1,000 yen. Smoking is allowed here. Served with miso soup, rice, and pickles, and the rice portion is quite large. Brought out by an older sister, there were about 11 small fried oysters which is also a lot. The C set is also full of fried food like shrimp, squid, scallops, and crab cream croquette. The cost performance remains good.
View on GoogleThis is a yoshoku restaurant located in Matsubara City. I visited around 12:00 on a Saturday. It's a small restaurant with about 1 counter, 1 four-person table, 2 six-person tables, and 1 one-person table. Entering a back alley from the main street into a residential area, the parking lot can hold 2-3 cars. Entered without waiting, got seated, and shared a six-person table. The order was the C set, a fried seafood set. It comes with coffee for an unbelievable 900 yen, which is crazy cheap. Serving takes about 10 minutes, relatively fast. A fulfilling selection for the price including fried shrimp, fried white fish, croquette, and a whole fried scallop. You can also get rice refills. What a conscientious restaurant, you can eat casually in a homey atmosphere. The fried oyster set is apparently famous for a mountain of oysters, so I definitely want to visit again in season. Thank you for the meal, thank you very much.
View on GoogleSince the restaurant is tucked away from the main street, you'd normally almost never find it, but at lunchtime it's a yoshoku restaurant that instantly fills up with locals. The winter-only fried oyster set meal has a whopping 10 fried oysters!! At ¥1100, the cost performance is way too good! Plus it even comes with post-meal coffee w There are various menus so it's hard to choose, and customers keep coming in endlessly, so you might be asked to share a table There is a parking space next to the shop, so it's a bit hard to understand but definitely worth going!
View on GoogleThe shop is located one block in from the main road. By car, the road from the north is narrow and you can't enter, so you can get in by turning at the police box on the south side. The atmosphere is like an old-fashioned diner. It was run by a slightly older master and 2 women. For food, ordered the C set. The main dishes were fried shrimp, crab cream croquette, fried white fish, and fried scallop. The fried white fish was delicious. Comes with post-meal coffee for 900 yen. Maximum cost performance. There's an abundance of menu items so it makes you want to eat all sorts of things.
View on GoogleI tried ordering the Turkish rice written on today's recommendation. Mushroom dry curry topped with extra sauce, a large tonkatsu, and a half-cooked fried egg on top. Comes with a miso soup set. I was asked in advance, "It will take a little time, is that okay?", but the food was served fast despite the place being full. Taste, spiciness, and portion were just right, and the post-meal coffee was also delicious. The husband and wife owners were very friendly.
