It had such high cost performance that it made me wonder (^^) It's shocking that this used to be 500 yen back in the day. The sharp, nose-tingling wasabi is great! On my way back from Matsubara, I went to that sushi shop I'd been curious about for a while and had the sushi set meal. A small retro sushi shop. When I went a little past 11 AM, one counter seat was open and I managed to sit down. Apparently, this seat belongs to the restaurant's obachan (elderly lady), and only this seat had a zabuton (floor cushion) placed on it. 5 to 6 minutes after ordering, the sushi set meal appeared. First, the sushi. Nigiri, maki (rolls), inari, and udon. The sushi was somewhat small, but delicious, and the udon broth was mild and delicious as well. All for 600 yen. Coin parking fee was 200 yen. Head about 300m south from the Ueda-higashi intersection on the Yamato-Takada Line, and you'll find Uota Sushi, which is currently buzzing on social media. In front of the shop, there were flyers posted: Sushi Set Meal, Sashimi Set Meal ¥750, Eel Set Meal ¥1000, Seafood Bowl ¥1000, Ikura (Salmon Roe) Bowl ¥1000. Walking into the shop, there are about 5 counter seats exuding a Showa-era atmosphere, and 2 tatami seating tables in the back. I ordered the sushi set meal, and while sipping tea from the yunomi (teacup), the sushi arranged on a sushi geta (wooden clog plate) and su-udon were served. This day's toppings were futomaki, shinko-maki, kappa-maki, inari, battera, yellowtail, tuna, salmon, and octopus. Also, on another day, when I was asked by the master if I could eat whale, I said no problem, so whale nigiri was served. The toppings sometimes differ depending on the day. At a counter sushi restaurant, getting sushi and udon included for ¥550 is ridiculously good value for money. Honestly, while there are plenty of delicious sushi restaurants, I appreciate the master's spirit. Around June, the master was hospitalized for a bit and the shop was closed for a while, but he made a comeback. The couple is working hard. You can park 2 cars in front of the shop. Otherwise, it's nearby coin parking. Closed on Tuesdays.

I had work nearby, so I googled and this place popped up, so I went. An elderly couple happily watching TV and laughing at the exact same parts. As expected, people whose funny bones are the same get along well ♥

I had the sushi set meal, which went up by 50 yen due to the times to become 600 yen. Right with my order, the vinegared rice ran out, and at 12:30 they sold out and closed early.
