It felt like an old-school yakitori shop with only counter seating ☝️ The food was served fast ‼️ I had various things, and the liver sashimi and fried yagen cartilage were delicious (≧∇≦b) The yakitori was also good, but the offal (tamahimo) and liver were a bit too dry, maybe slightly overcooked. With 2 draft beers 🍺, 1 highball, and the items in the photo coming to just over 6000 yen, I think the cost performance is good 🉐
View on GoogleI went as a replacement on a day I was chased away by a certain Totchan, and was surprised to find it 5 times more delicious than expected. The price is a little over 300 yen for 2 skewers, which isn't expensive at all—I think it's a yakitori shop with ultimate cost performance! However, being an independent shop, it doesn't have the typical customer service of major chain stores; it communicates with customers like friends, so as a first-timer, I initially felt a slight sense of being an outsider. (Though that was needless worry as they replied cheerfully when I spoke to them first.) Now, regarding the main food: My recommendations are the seseri and gizzard. They are ridiculously good. Also, the ramen containing chashu chicken and Chinese cabbage pickles. If you love drinks, this is definitely a place you should visit.
View on GoogleA well-known yakitori restaurant in the Matsubara area that I've been visiting for years. I don't know since when last year, but they now have bone-in chicken styled after that famous Kagawa's Ikkaku on the menu... Unlike the original, this one is finished over charcoal, giving it a smoky, spicy flavor. The chicken's savory oils overflow onto the stainless steel plate, making it an exquisite dish that pairs wonderfully with beer.
View on GoogleA famous yakitori shop in Matsubara City. Crowded with many regular customers. Small and cozy with only counter seating. A local culinary landmark in business for over 45 years. Every grilled dish and fried dish is delicious.
View on GoogleThis is a wonderful restaurant with an atmospheric setting where you can thoroughly enjoy fresh chicken dishes to your heart's content. Stepping inside reveals a calm Japanese-style space, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a luxurious time. What's worth noting is the deliciousness of their "Tori-sashi" (chicken sashimi), served under strict freshness management. One bite fills your mouth with the elegant sweetness and umami inherent to the ingredients, leaving you deeply impressed by its high level of perfection. No matter which menu item you choose, it's exceptionally fresh with no misses, and you can feel their sincere dedication to food. It's a hidden-gem specialty restaurant for adults that I can confidently recommend bringing a loved one to when you want to achieve true satisfaction in an elegant atmosphere.
