Visited for the first time. Ordered large size squid modern yaki. Drank a bottled cola too for 1050 yen. Even with the large size, the squid modern yaki felt normal in size, but packed with chunks of squid. The taste is good. The interior has a late-Showa era vibe. A place where you can take a breather in the slowly flowing time.

I think they have been operating for nearly 50 years since the era of the previous generation father. Old-school storefront. The batter has a taste not found anywhere else, fluffy and simple. That is good again and very delicious. My whole family says they suddenly get a craving for the okonomiyaki here. The yakisoba sauce is also delicious! In summer, they also have fluffy shaved ice. A must-visit famous shop where you should eat here not for takeout, but feeling like you time-traveled to the Showa era.

A very deep okonomiyaki and yakisoba shop nestled in the alley on the west side of Kawachi-Amami Station. It has been there since I was a child so it's probably been running for about 40 years. The food menu consists only of okonomiyaki and yakisoba with no bar snacks, and the variety is super simple with only combinations of pork, squid, and shrimp. Unlike major chains expanding to Tokyo, this kind of locally rooted shop is fun because it offers a solid, satisfying konamon (wheat-flour-based food) experience in a good way. It might not be a place people with no ties to Kawachi-Amami come to eat, but I hope they keep it going forever.
