A long-established udon shop you can enjoy at reasonable prices! The charm lies in its comforting, heartwarming atmosphere that has been loved for many years✨ Kitsune udon is a bowl where soft noodles gently cling to a Kansai-style mild broth. In the thick kitsune fried tofu, the sweet, simmered broth oozes out and a blissful flavor spreads throughout. I'm happy that tempura flakes (tenkasu) are freely available as a self-service topping. Kayaku gohan (seasoned cooked rice) features plumply cooked rice mixed with the savory flavors of ingredients, offering a simple yet deeply complex taste. Pickled red ginger, kelp, and cucumber also serve as a delightfully refreshing accent✨ It was a wonderful shop that makes you want to go back again! 《Menu ordered this time》 ◼︎Kitsune Udon 380 yen ◼︎Kayaku Gohan 260 yen
View on GoogleA long-standing, Showa-retro udon and soba shop run by a couple for over 37 years. Inside, amidst an atmosphere of 9 counter seats and a Showa vibe, you can enjoy udon, soba, and rice bowls with a mild broth at super reasonable prices. While featuring a gentle Kansai-style flavor, the broth is robustly savory and warms you up. The slightly soft noodles cling very well to the broth. The shrimp tempura also tastes great. Tenkasu (tempura flakes) are freely available as a self-serve topping. Kayaku gohan is plumply cooked, with the umami of the ingredients thoroughly soaked into the rice—a simple yet deeply profound and delicious taste. It's a heartwarming, comforting flavor loved for many years, which can be enjoyed as a set with Kansai-style gentle broth soba. Red ginger, kelp, and kappa-zuke pickles are also available as self-service, so you can fully enjoy them together. The couple is so affectionate that it warmed my heart and made it a wonderful shop. Thank you for the meal. 《Menu ordered this time》 ◼︎Shrimp Tempura Soba 430 yen ◼︎Kayaku Gohan 260 yen
View on GoogleIt's a restaurant run by a couple. It was a bright and friendly place. It looks like they are closing on June 30th. The kitsune udon was delicious!
View on Google🍀An old-fashioned, homey restaurant🍀 I had curry soba and 🍀kayaku gohan🍀, and my wife had 🍀kelp soba🍀. The menu is extensive, featuring soba, udon, 🍀rice bowls, and seasoned cooked rice too🍀. The prices are also very reasonable. The master and his wife are friendly people, so 🍀even first-time customers feel right at home🍀. I'm satisfied🍀. I even bought Toshikoshi soba (New Year's Eve soba) this year🍀
View on GoogleI had the sansai (mountain vegetable) soba. The price is 380 yen including tax. The shop is run by a friendly couple. The background music in the store is MBS Radio. They have the Asahi Shimbun newspaper available. Payment was cash only. The air conditioning seems to be broken, so it's quite hot inside.
