This restaurant serves the best udon that I have ever tried since I have been to Japan. The tastes is awesome and the consistency is great. It's worth all your penny. I got to visit this restaurant during my 2022 visit to Osaka. Gotta love the ambiance of the place. My family and I revisited this restaurant in 2023 before our flight to the Philippines.

I've wanted to go here for a while and finally tried it (lol) When I entered the shop, there were lots of elderly customers. I ordered tenzaru, and it was served after a short wait. The broth had a light yet delicious taste. To be honest, the texture of the noodles felt like something I've never had before. A soft, smooth, thin flat noodle with an unusual texture, making you think 'what is this?', but as you chew it's like 'oh? This is tasty'. It was an udon shop with a mysteriously charming vibe. Since it's close by, I'd love to go again♪

The broth is delicious, but the noodles are even better! A top-tier restaurant with delicious udon and broth that never disappoints customer expectations I've been coming here for over 30 years; it's the best udon shop in Japan. True to its name, unlike Sanuki udon, it has transparency, is slippery, chewy, and recently the udon has become even tastier. When I told the master 'your skills have improved!', he said he changed the flour recipe. Indeed, the flavor and aroma of the noodles are great. The top-quality broth is also consistently leveled. The broth for the zaru udon has become a bit sweeter, making an amazing match with ginger. Here I drink up all the tempura dipping sauce too. The balance of the broth differs subtly for each dish, and it's too delicious not to finish it all. My standard orders for 30 years have been large zaru udon (regular is the same price), based with oboro konbu udon (extra kelp), and for the past 4-5 years mixed tempura, recently shrimp tempura (3 pieces) 1-2 plates, and the agedashi tofu is also superb. Kombu udon using the finest oboro is my recommendation. The wakame udon is also aromatic and delicious. Quite a few customers coming here order the fried chicken. Hooked on the udon and broth, I didn't pay attention to the chicken at all, but the aroma is so good---- My first impression when brought by a friend to this shop was waiting nearly 30 minutes for the udon to arrive, and anger seemed to show on my face while my friend laughed, but after eating the agedashi tofu I was surprised, then eating the udon my expression instantly changed to extreme satisfaction! Patience is key to eating good food!

First visit. Large yamakake udon. The noodles are thin, but chewy and filling. Choosing the large size was a great success. High satisfaction level. Very delicious, thoroughly enjoyed it.
