Plenty of parking space. Entered around 13:00 on a weekday. Entered smoothly without waiting. Chose tonkatsu curry with slightly increased roux. 1460 yen. No solid ingredients in the roux. Personally, I'm not that great with spicy food. Spiciness-wise, it was just right, to the extent that you could enjoy the pickles deliciously. The pickles served on the side of the plate were quite good, and the fukujinzuke provided on the table was also delicious. The quantity doesn't feel small, well, it's just... okay. I added extra roux, but I think it was the right amount. Overall, no major complaints about the contents, but it felt a bit pricey.

The tables inside the shop are managed extremely cleanly, and the level of cleanliness is off the charts. Ordered the curry udon, and the roux features a kick of spices, creating a mildly spicy yet somewhat sweet taste.

Having an opportunity, I dropped by on a whim. Along National Route 26 heading toward Osaka, parking lot fully equipped 🅿️ Inside, it feels like a food court, and the menu is indeed well-stocked with everything from curry rice and udon to even set meals. I ordered the [Steak Curry ¥1,380] with [Extra Spicy ¥240] and [Raw Egg ¥100] added. Served in 5 to 6 minutes. Instead of turmeric rice, it's white rice topped with about 4 pieces of beef steak, demiglace-sauce-colored roux, and fried garlic, with grilled broccoli and Chinese cabbage pickles on the side 🍛 The roux has moderate richness and is of neither good nor bad quality, but despite ordering extra spicy, it's milder than even CoCo壱's level 3 spice. I like adding a raw egg, but it made it even sweeter. The steak meat is tender and delicious, but the portion is a bit small. The Chinese cabbage pickles don't match at all. Fukujinzuke is recommended as usual. Since the roux is scarce relative to the rice, the roux ran out midway through eating. It would be nice if they had a system where you could add extra roux, even for a fee. Or rather, the volume is small overall, and I think normal men would find it a bit underwhelming. Eating here gives you complimentary access to the drink bar inside the shop, where orange juice, oolong tea, and coffee are soaked in ice buckets inside pitchers. Overall impression: it's an ordinary curry, but considering the bill was ¥1,720, the cost performance is... lacking. I figure ordering differently would let you taste it more reasonably, but as a first-timer at Tokumasa, I thought next time I'll try the curry udon after all. A versatile, family-restaurant-like curry shop, but if I'm going to eat curry rice at a similarly positioned place, CoCo壱 ranks higher. I'll probably revisit sometime soon. Thanks for the meal ✨

It is no exaggeration to say that Tokumasa & Jotou Curry is the synonym of Osaka curry 🍛 There are many locations in the city, but Kishiwada is the only branch where you can eat it in Senshu ‼️ Located along National Route 26. Now, what's amazing about the Kishiwada branch is that Tokumasa and Jotou Curry are combined together 👍 I loooove both of them so much ❤️ Tokumasa's curry udon is at the level where I even buy it at supermarkets or frozen food sections. Therefore, I always struggle immensely between curry rice and curry udon, but since I always eat curry udon, this time I chose the curry 🍛 What I received was the Fried Shrimp Curry ¥1,260 (tax included) 🦐 It was delicious with consistent reliability 🙏 I love fukujinzuke, so having it all-you-can-eat makes me super happy too 😍✨ A dilemma between curry or curry udon.
