We did not eat here for lunch. We came because we saw there was daifuku selling here. We tried the strawberry and the mikan daifuku and were blown away how good it was! Many stores in Japan the daifuku would be hard because they kept it too long in the fridge. I have yet to encountered really nice ones since years ago when I stumbled upon a mochi making new year party. This was so soft and good! The nice lady at the shop admitted she made them herself. She was very happy when we told her how good it was and that we thought it was the best we've eaten!

SORA'Skitchen" usually sells from a food truck. I heard that every Tuesday they borrow the space at "Shiki Goyomi" in Kishiki-cho, so I went to check it out. Out front, there were signs for delicious-looking curries lined up. Inside, there were 3 counter seats, one table for 4, and one table for 2. I really agonized over what to order. Actually, I love the curry here and have bought it many times, so this time I went with the BIG wiener curry, which I hadn't tried yet. There was also a drink with a sweet treat for after the meal. After a short while, the food was ready. True to the "BIG" in its name, out came curry rice topped with an impressive sausage. You could choose between medium-hot and mild curry roux. This one is the mild roux. No matter how many times I eat it, it's delicious. The sausage was plump and meaty, the best. Only after eating did I notice there was also a curry noodles option. That's another dish I'm really curious about. Eating it from the food truck was delicious too, but being able to eat it fresh right away was so good.

On the way to Kishiwada Castle, a "zenzai" sign caught my eye, so I stopped by. When ordering, I was asked, "One mochi or two?" so without hesitation I said, "Two." Irresistible for mochi lovers! The owner was kind, with heartwarming service, so I could head on to Kishiwada Castle feeling good. Thank you for the meal.
