Heading towards the beach, there are other fisherman shops, but we went to the one boldly closest to the sea. We chose the "Sashimi Set." Before ordering, they tell you the types of fish in the sashimi. You can change to octopus rice (takomeshi) for an extra 200 yen. The miso soup also has fish scraps, making a good broth. The flathead fish (kochi) sashimi was a treat, but the tuna and sea bream also had a great firmness and were sheer freshness. The parboiled conger eel (hamo no yubiki) could be enjoyed with plum paste and vinegared miso. The small side dish of sunomono (vinegared dish) was full of healthiness. Next time I want to try the seafood bowl.

Lunch at Kishiwada Fishing Port, a place where you can mainly taste local Kishiwada fish. It really feels like a shop right in the fishing port! ◎ I ordered the Sashimi Set for ¥1,800. Since there were 3 of us, we shared the Tender Simmered Octopus for ¥1,500 and Conger Eel Tempura with Green Onion for ¥800. The most delicious was the Tender Simmered Octopus. Local food is truly delicious! Overall, the portions are a bit small, so maybe men might find it not enough? Despite that, I thought the price was a bit high~

Lunch visit. Perhaps the timing was good, but they flexibly accommodated requests not on the menu. The taste is medium-high for fishing port food. The shop is quite aged, which might be good for people who like that kind of atmosphere. (I prefer a clean interior) Kinchakuya nearby has better cost performance, so I might choose that one instead.

Quietly nestled in a corner of the fishing port in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture, "Ryoshi-ka Sachi" was a true "hidden gem" providing high-quality seafood bowls that surpassed the difficulty of its location. What sets this restaurant's seafood bowls apart from the "just bowls with toppings piled on" often seen in tourist spots is its "perfection as a single dish." The key to success lies in the harmony of the sushi rice. The sharpness and sweetness of the rice vinegar never interfere with the flavor of the fresh seafood on top, yet they serve to tighten the overall taste. The fact that this balance of rice and toppings is perfect is proof of a consistent culinary philosophy. The sight of fish actively swimming in the fish tank set up in front of the store is not just a mere production, but an expression of "absolute confidence in freshness." This thermal energy of the ingredients directly links to the seafood texture and umami that pop in your mouth, leading to a moving level of deliciousness. The atmosphere of the store is built like an aged izakaya, and combined with its fishing port location, it does not betray the expectations of a "hideaway." Particularly worth praising is the "sudare" (bamboo blind) lowered between neighboring seats. This is a meticulous consideration to ensure customers' private space and concentration on their meals in a bustling popular restaurant. This environment, where you can quietly savor the bounty of the sea without worrying about your surroundings, can be said to be a clever spatial strategy that further enhances the deliciousness of the food. The seafood bowl at "Ryoshi-ka Sachi" is established by fresh seafood, techniques to bring it to its maximum potential, and the intelligence that leads the whole dish to a single harmony. Turning even the difficulty of finding the place into the charm of a "hideaway," this shop embodies the "conscience" of Kishiwada Fishing Port. For gourmets truly seeking delicious seafood, it is a place I can recommend without hesitation.

Dropped by casually on a weekday afternoon and had the Conger Eel Tendon (1480 yen). The location is inside the market so it's a bit hard to understand, but you'll figure it out as soon as you enter. There are many autographs of celebrities, so I guess it's a famous shop (I visited without prior knowledge). The recommended lunch was the Seafood Bowl (2200 yen), but since I hadn't thought much about it, I found myself thinking 2200 yen for lunch is a bit much (laughs). I'd like to have the seafood bowl next time.
