There's something called the Isonokami no Kojiki! It says the road begins from Awa? On the north side of the kofun is Awashima Shrine, and in my family (formerly a shrine) my grandmother told me the person buried in Mayuyama Kofun was a woman! Also, this area is called the Yamadai district and is famous for growing peaches!

In winter, lots of ducks come to the moat.
