Every single cake lined up in the showcase is ridiculously charming, looking just like a confectionery shop in a fairy tale forest ♪ (In reality, there's quite a lot of nature all around... lol) They are closed on Tuesdays, and have been running the place here for 40 years now. When I bought something once before, elderly neighborhood gentlemen were chatting away in the cafe corner, making me feel that it serves as a place of relaxation. It's extremely hot lately, but customers seem to be trickling in. There are also about 4 parking spaces. The small cakes are all priced around the 500-yen range, and purchasing 4 came out to about 2,200 yen. If you go to a city cake shop, these are things that would probably cost around 700 yen each, so this price feels quite cheap. As soon as I got home, I tried the "Cassis Chocolat", and it was delicious ♡ It easily surpasses the hurdle set by its looks. Thanks to the cassis (blackcurrant), it was refreshing to eat even in summer ♪ The cafe corner also has that old-school feel just like the photos—or rather, since they've been operating for 40 years, shall we call it a genuine, authentic "living old-school"? It feels like a real coffee shop. I don't come around this area very often, but it made me imagine a nonexistent version of myself reading a mystery novel or writing a manuscript in the cafe corner someday (lol) If you wear a stylish dress and go, you might be able to time-slip just a little bit ♪ I'll use the cafe corner next time. Thank you very much ¨̮⃝
View on GoogleI've been coming here for 20 years. I think it's about time they renewed the cafe, interior, and garden to make them nice and clean. The taste is moist, simple, and delicious, but the sense in decorating the whole cake is unfortunately a disappointment. I'm happy for the quiet time spent in the shop, so please upgrade it. The Saint-Marc (Chiboust?) is supreme.
View on GoogleCame here for the first time. The moment I arrived at the parking lot, a nostalgic sweet cake aroma welcomed me into the shop. The cakes were not too sweet and easy to eat, with a smooth sponge and soft texture. The whipped cream was also my favorite flavor. The figs were neatly sliced, making it a visually beautiful cake too. The chocolate had a nostalgic taste as well. Every cake displayed looked delicious. Next time I'll try the rare cheese. It had a gentle and somewhat nostalgic taste. The prices are also set reasonably, which helps.
View on GoogleVisited on March 14, 2022. Today I had the Mont Blanc and strawberry shortcake. The Mont Blanc had custard cream, fresh cream, and a whole chestnut inside, which was delicious and unlike anything I've ever eaten before.
View on GoogleA shop particular about its water, today reportedly using the longevity water of Mount Iwawaki. The royal milk tea and rice flour chiffon pumpkin cake came with pumpkin on top. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
