Entered the yakitori restaurant "Torizo" in the shopping block about a 5-minute walk from Chiyoda Station on the Nankai Kono Line for the first time in 3 years. Relieved that the chic restaurant atmosphere hasn't changed, I hesitated whether to get a course meal, but enjoyed ordering various a la carte dishes continuously. ◼️ Draft beer Highball ◼️ Kyoto Tofu Choregi Salad ◼️ Crispy sweet and spicy fried chicken wings ◼️ Satsuma Chiran-dori charcoal-grilled on shichirin ◼️ Satsuma Chiran-dori Tataki ◼️ Mi (Thigh) ◼️ Liver ◼️ Skin ◼️ Bonjiri (Tail) ◼️ Nankotsu (Cartilage) ◼️ Tsukune (Meatball) ◼️ Seseri (Neck) green onion salt ponzu ◼️ Stuffed lotus root with meat ◼️ Manganji pepper ◼️ Shiitake mushroom ★ Chicken kamameshi to finish Chiran-dori's deep flavor and pleasant texture are superb. Every cut was of a high standard, and I enjoyed it deliciously.
View on GoogleMay 11, 2023 Came here after a long time. It's usually busy and hard to get in, but today was a weekday, so I got in smoothly without a reservation. Around this neighborhood, now and back then, the yakitori here is the best. It's delicious after all, and I'm glad it's within walking distance from home. With charcoal grilling, you can enjoy the texture and umami with your molars. The staff's customer service was also kind.
View on GoogleFor a family of 5, having just one glass of beer each, it was around 12,000 yen. There was a tatami room in the back so even 5 people could sit spaciously and the inside of the shop was clean. Yakitori can be ordered from 2 skewers and was normally delicious. The otoshi (appetizer) was 200 yen and only came for the adults' portion, which I thought was fair. The system is to write your order on paper. It seems there are 3 parking lots, and I parked the car in the space entering from next to the nearby Able.
View on GoogleIt's consistently delicious whenever I go. Before the store expansion, it had a rustic menu that felt like a true "yakitori restaurant." Now, although the range of the menu has expanded with a feel like a "chicken restaurant," the number of menu items has decreased. I wonder if it's okay as a yakitori restaurant, especially since the skewered items have decreased. Isn't management getting difficult by expanding chains? It's a bit sad that the initial rustiness is gone. Owner, I want you to do something about that. But it's delicious.
View on GoogleDelicious! Tasty! Chicken tataki is the best!!! Next time I'll visit after making a reservation! 😋 Glad there's one more monthly reward place added... 🤓
