Located on the mountain in a traditional Japanese-style house, the view and atmosphere are superb. The food, including the pork cartilage which I tried for the first time, was also extremely delicious. The watchdog in front of the house is also cute and adorable. The only drawback is that the road is narrow, making it a bit of a struggle to get there. Other than that, it was fantastic. I'd love to visit again.

There were 2 types of curry on the day I went, and I could choose either one or a mix of both. Not only was it delicious spiced curry, but it also came with a soup and appetizers^^ There were also unusual hot and cold drinks♪ (Lemon milk sour has an interesting taste and is refreshing after the curry, delicious) Since it seems to be run by a single person, there might be times when they are too busy? But during my visit, it went smoothly. The road to the restaurant is narrow, so people who are not good at driving might want to be careful. There are steep slopes, and if a car comes from the opposite direction, you might have to back up. But almost no cars passed by. (Only passed by 2 cars on the way there and back) However, the breathtaking view from the top is wonderful. It must be even prettier during the season of dried persimmons! They mentioned it is also connected from Takihata in Osaka. Also, this shop rarely operates at its physical location, and reportedly sets up a shop at the Katsuragi town office about once a week. For those worried about the road, takeout at the town office might be better.

I visited for a late lunch on a Sunday. (2023.10) It is a reservation-only restaurant. At a considerable altitude, the view visible from the restaurant was breathtaking. It is a restaurant renovated from a traditional folk house. Spice curry in a stylish interior ・Bean and chunky vegetable curry ・Persimmon, mushroom, and salmon curry (With bean soup, salad, and side dishes) Bean and chunky vegetable curry A curry with the sweetness of beans and vegetables, it was super delicious. The colors of the vegetables are nice and pretty The spices work well but not sharp, rather mild Not oily It felt gentle on the stomach. Persimmon, mushroom, and salmon curry The chunky salmon inside is tender A curry with plenty of mushrooms and rich flavor This curry has a slight acidity to it It was extremely delicious when eaten while crushing the meltingly sweet persimmon. The bean soup included in the set has plenty of chickpeas in it, and the piping hot soup soaked into the body. Latest [August 2026 Visit] Parking: Available Parking space is available for about 1-2 cars right down the slope of the restaurant. (The restaurant's food truck is parked there) Also, there is a tourist parking lot nearby. ←Recommended Payment method: Cash Special notes: ※Information as of the visit, it is recommended to check the official SNS (Instagram) for the latest status (business days, business hours, reservation methods, served menus, etc.).

I like spicy curry and after hearing the information and making a reservation, I was finally able to come and eat. It was unfortunately cloudy & rainy on this day, since it's the rainy season It can't be helped, but on a sunny day, the view must be superb. The store owner is a handsome guy, friendlier than I imagined The spicy curry, salad, and soup were all satisfying. If the dates match, I'd like to visit the shop again. Please check the shop's Instagram to confirm business days and make a reservation.

Perhaps because I expected too much due to good reviews, I didn't think it was that delicious and it didn't really suit my palate. The soup was delicious, but the main curry wasn't very hot, it felt somewhat cold. They might not intentionally make it hot, but I thought it would have been better if it were just a little warmer. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the curry had a nice spice and seasoning, so it felt like a missed opportunity. I went up the mountain road from the Wakayama side and returned toward Kawachinagano. Leaving aside the Wakayama side, you should definitely not take the Kawachinagano route. It was just barely wide enough for a light car, and there were almost no places to pass each other. There seems to be a road going up from the Michi-no-Eki side, but I didn't take it so I don't know the condition. Either way, it might be a bit tough for beginners.
