An old-school takoyaki shop. There are also okonomiyaki and yakisoba. The takoyaki itself is small. The inside, baked to a soft texture, contains octopus and probably just tempura bits. There is about a 20% chance that 1-2 sakura shrimp are mixed in, but I don't think that's the default. The taste is not bad, but because it's simple, it has a rustic flavor, so people's preferences might vary. The sauce is slightly strong in acidity. The topping is only bonito flakes. You are asked whether you want mayonnaise or not. It used to be coated with overflowing sauce, but maybe because the cook changed, it's now in the right amount. The price is reasonable at 200 yen for 10 pieces. Since they are small balls, in terms of quantity, it's roughly equivalent to 5 large balls. No parking lot. The front road is a bit wide, but depending on the time of day traffic gets heavy, so it might be better to refrain from street parking.

Tomo", a takoyaki and okonomiyaki shop prioritizing cost performance located on Aiai Street in front of Chiyoda Station. I haven't tried the okonomiyaki, but I sometimes buy takoyaki on my way home when I'm a bit hungry. In this day and age, 10 takoyaki for 200 yen. Indeed, small octopus and maybe sakura shrimp? Basically the type without cabbage, but you can enjoy it surprisingly deliciously.

200 yen for 10 pieces is so cheap! However, each piece of takoyaki is rather small. Still, I think the cost performance is very good. More and more shops in large discount store parking lots are selling 6 takoyaki for 100 yen, but while losing in size, the octopus inside is bigger at this shop. Neither the batter nor the sauce has anything special to note, but it's a very normally delicious takoyaki. I think I'll drop by again. 2019.08.28
