A branching waterfall with a 12m drop that flows into the Ishikawa River. The modestly spreading flow gathers in the plunge pool. The trench-like terrain at the bottom is also interesting. Among the Takihata 48 Waterfalls, which are mostly small, this is a rare one that's actually worth seeing. About 900m, around 10 minutes, from the Aradaki fork. Follow the easy-to-walk forest road and there's a signboard. From here, follow the trail up the slope to reach the front of the falls. You can get close to the falls. Some of the rocky areas are a bit slippery, so be careful. To get to the top of the falls, people climb the rock wall with a small stream on the right side as you face it. It's not high, but it's a bit steep, so I don't recommend it. There's also a clear trail near the gazebo along the forest road. The parking lot is shared with Aradaki. There seems to be no route other than from the campsite.
View on GoogleThere's a small path from the road to the plunge pool; it's rugged, rocky terrain so you can't get very close, but it has a hidden-gem feel and it's a magnificent waterfall
View on GoogleAfter a moderate walk you come across a pretty nice waterfall There's a bit of rough footing at the very end, but I don't think it's dangerous
View on GoogleAbout 15 minutes up the paved road from Aradaki Campsite, there's a sign for a path down to the falls. There's hardly anyone around here even during the summer Obon holidays, so going alone might feel a bit lonely. But because of that, the water is wonderfully clear, you can enjoy the best scenery, and you don't feel the heat in the woods, so it's a wonderful experience.
