A reliable shop I always use for lunch. Since a single item isn't enough for me, I almost always order the katsudon set every single time. The katsudon here features thick cutlet, perhaps aged, which has a very flavorful cutlet that I love. The warm soba, both noodles and dashi, are to my taste and satisfy me. On top of that, I add supreme shichimi and enjoy it with the aroma of sansho pepper, savoring it with refinement. However, it gets extremely busy on weekends, and the parking lot can be full! If you can park, the shop's turnover is very good, so even if you wait you can be seated right away and eat right after ordering. Prices are on the cheaper side compared to other ramen sets, I think.
View on GoogleA shop near my workplace that I've always been curious about! It has a quaint gate, but the inside is bright and open. Since it was past noon it wasn't crowded, but after entering, nobody noticed me for a while and I wasn't seated (after that, things like that didn't happen...) Maybe they felt relieved that the customers had cleared out, but not noticing me because they were chatting among themselves is a minus. My order was taken promptly, though. My target was Ten-Ni-Hachi. The tempura was fried crisp and crunchy, which I could enjoy deliciously even though I'm bad at eating fried foods. The main soba was thin but had a firm springiness, and the soba flavor came through properly—delicious. The soba-yu (hot soba water) also had a good thickness (it settles at the bottom so you should mix it), and I enjoyed it deliciously to the end. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleLooked like a nice countryside soba shop on Google Maps! Parking lot 🅿️ full even on a weekday—expectations go up ⤴️ Ordered the ten-zaru and konoha-don—service was as fast as a food court! The proud soba lacked firmness and I couldn't really taste the flavor 😅 Is my tongue 👅 that of a kid! The masked staff had no smile and lacked attentiveness, and the tempura 🍤 was also mediocre! Felt cheap for the price (^。^)
View on GoogleIt was very delicious. They also have sake from Kawachinagano. It's a pity that there are no paper napkins or oshibori (wet towels).
View on GoogleKawachinagano Nanhakadai "Menbo Mansaku". Slurping zaru soba, Savoring the dashi in hot noodle soup, Or maybe something unconventional, Or occasionally going for a hearty rice bowl... A soba shop where even the brief moment of agony upon entering is delightful. Whenever and however you visit, Heartwarming satisfaction, reliable deliciousness. What might be found just about anywhere if it were an udon shop is rather difficult to pull off when it's a soba shop. If time and conditions permit, enjoy the soba-mae (drinks/snacks before soba). For hot sake, they have the local famous brewery "Amano-zake", and for cold sake, they have 2-3 nice varieties of Ginjo or Junmai. It invariably comes with grilled soba-miso, which is delightful enough, but sipping slowly on it with some dashimaki or kamaboko is also wonderful. Modern jazz isn't playing, the master wears a samue instead of jeans, and he never says "First, try it with salt"—which is another pleasing point. Stripped of unnecessary pretense and self-consciousness, yet possessing the playful spirit and customer service mindset of offering inventive soba on the first of every month as "Tsuitachi-soba"—that is also delightful. Honest, serious, Skilled soba making and straightforward business. Truly, a refreshing and wonderful neighborhood renowned shop is right here. #MenboMansaku #Mansaku #Soba #KawachinaganoGourmet
