This is no 1 restaurant in Osaka good food

Take the Nankai Electric Railway and get off at Mikkaichicho Station. When you leave the station, the aroma of spices drifts from somewhere. Walking as if drawn by the aroma, I found "Modaka". Looking at the restaurant's name, I unilaterally imagined whether it had something to do with the Indian sweets "Modak". The interior has a decor that makes you feel the atmosphere of India. It's a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Indian curry. I'm not very knowledgeable about Indian curry, so I asked the staff for recommendations. Then, they explained it very politely. Moreover, they spoke with humor, making it easy to absorb the information. I unintentionally asked, "Did you use to work in a job where you talk?" And they replied, a bit bashfully, "Actually, I used to do a bit of comedy..." I see, no wonder they are good at talking. This time I ordered the A set. Two types of curry with naan, salad, and yogurt for 814 yen. I think this content for this price is quite reasonable. The curry was also delicious, and my whole family was delighted. We visited in a large group of 8 people this time, and I was glad they accommodated us without a single displeased look. I'd like to visit with my family again at the end of the year.

Of the two types of curry, one is vegetable curry today, and the other can be chosen from chicken, seafood, or cheese and spinach. It seems the types of curry change depending on the day. When I told them I don't like things that are too spicy, they said they could adjust the intensity based on level 3, which is about the spiciness of commercial medium-hot curry, so I asked for level 2 this time. The vegetable curry was quite sweet, and the chicken curry felt just right for me, so maybe level 3 would have been fine? Both curries had just the right amount of spices, were very delicious, and easy to eat. The naan also had a sweetness that went well with the curry spices. It's very large and leaves you full. Tandoori chicken is slightly spicier than the curry (perhaps this is level 3?), and while the flavor is well-soaked in, it lacks a bit of juiciness. Papad, the cracker, was very thin and slightly spicy. Samosas, the fried pies, are stuffed with something seasoned with spices, but I couldn't really tell? I ate them with mayonnaise and ketchup. For dessert, you can choose ice cream, and for drinks, chai or coffee. I usually hesitate to enter Indian restaurants because I worry if the spices will be too unique, but I had heard that this place arranges things to suit Japanese tastes, so I was able to come with peace of mind and it was very delicious. A family that seemed to be regulars came in midway, and upon seeing cheese and spinach as today's curry, they said, "Yay! Lucky!"
