I went to "Gion Sushi," a beloved local restaurant in Kawachinagano where you can casually enjoy a sushi lunch. The lunch-only nigiri set was 1200 yen and offered a solid, satisfying meal. It is a restaurant with an old-fashioned atmosphere and about 10 counter seats.

Fresh toppings, large toppings, impressed by the delicious nigiri sushi! B nigiri set 1,200 yen (tax included) The master and the landlady were also wonderful people. It's an old-school sushi restaurant run by a married couple.

Opened the front door because the exterior had an atmosphere that looked like it would serve delicious sushi. There were only counter seats, and 80% of them were occupied when I arrived at 12 PM. Ordered the nigiri sushi set meal. The sushi has thick toppings that are filling and delicious. Also, the udon broth is delicious. It helps that they call out to offer tea refills. Half of the customers seem to be locals. Our brightly-lit store is hard to find from the main road, but once you taste it, you'll want to come back again.

Stumbled upon this place by chance after being turned away from a full udon shop in the same row, and it turned out to be the right choice! It has an old-school atmosphere, but both the master and the landlady are smiling and moving briskly, creating a nice vibe. There are 3 types of lunch sets, and I ordered the nigiri and udon set. The master's efficiency was great, and he served the nigiri for two in about 5 minutes. Pleasant customer service with, "Sorry to keep you waiting! I'll have the udon ready in a moment, so wait a sec~!" The nigiri toppings are large and filling. Kind words too: "Be careful not to choke on it♪" When I talked to the two of them while eating, they said they've been running the place here for over 40 years. I see, it makes sense why this sushi and this personality are supported by local customers. Set of 8 pieces of nigiri and kelp udon for 1,100 yen. A reasonable price in this day and age of rising raw material prices. A shop I'd like to drop by again when I go near there.

Egg at the end!? ✖️ Serving tamago like this! I want them to use this for flyers or something. I want them to keep up some pride there. The taste is passing. The cramped interior and the smelly ginger (it smelled like a dirty rag so I stopped eating; bacteria is probably growing) are personally a no-go for me. Old style, customer-oriented business, they are getting older... I can understand the reasons, but I don't want to go again.
