An eel restaurant on the 3rd floor of "Joyful Kokubu (Life Kokubu store)", a commercial facility directly connected to Kawachi-Kokubu Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. It's right after you exit the ticket gates at Kawachi-Kokubu Station. The restaurant has three 4-person tables and about 5 counter seats. The sauce is a little sweet, and the rice felt a bit soft to me, but the eel with fluffy flesh and the very fragrant sansho were extremely delicious. Note that closing time is a little early, at 18:30. Also, no alcohol is served.
View on GoogleThe other day I had eel for Doyo. Super delicious. No fishy smell at all, a refined flavor. I ordered the regular (nami), so next time I'll eat more and order the tokujo (premium)!
View on GoogleWhen it comes to eating eel, it's Akashi-san for me. Even though it's far from home, I always come here. Ordered the tokujo unaju The eel is crispy outside and plump and melty inside — the best! The sansho is delicious too. The cucumber and octopus sunomono, pickles, and kimosui are also delicious and leave my heart full. I'll come again. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleA renowned eel restaurant that Kokubu is proud of. Today I came back home from Wakayama to treat my mother to eel for her birthday, and came in all excited without having eaten anything since morning My mother and I both love eel, and even though we've eaten it dozens of times, there's still that thrill of opening the lid♪ Sprinkled on sansho and took the first bite (Hm? Did the sansho change? Delicious〜♡) The eel really is as delicious as ever (tears) Akashi-san's sunomono and clear soup are as delicious as ever too. My mother drank up every last drop of the sunomono liquid trying to figure out its flavor lol I was surprised to hear the restaurant has been around for 43 years. It brought back so many memories Like when my morning sickness was so bad I couldn't eat, and my mother bought Akashi-san's eel for me And when I bought takeout for my daughter, also an eel lover and in a rebellious phase at the time; the next day half was left in the fridge, so thinking it hadn't suited my daughter's taste, I ate it — and the next morning my daughter blew up at me: "It was so delicious it'd be a waste to eat it all at once, so I saved it to eat this morning!" I hope they keep the restaurant going in this spot forever. I'll come again. Next time for my birthday♪ Thanks for the meal♡
View on GoogleI'd looked up eel restaurants on Google Maps and had wanted to go here for a while. I ordered the unaju jo. It was served in about 10 minutes. The eel was crispy and fragrant outside, fluffy inside with perfect fattiness, and the sauce was tasty too — a really delicious eel. Plenty of volume too. The side dishes of takuan and sunomono were also very delicious. The restaurant is directly connected to Kintetsu Kawachi-Kokubu Station, convenient for people using the station, but I felt it's hard to get to by car. It was so delicious that I want to come again.
