View on GoogleIn the Edo period, Kashiwara Village's fields were repeatedly ruined by floods of the Yamato River and became wasteland. What was devised to save Kashiwara Village from this hardship was a shipping business carrying rice and other goods to Osaka. The Kashiwara-bune, which carried goods to Osaka in small boats, were like what we'd now call boats 🚣♂️. Their landing place was around here. If you have a rich imagination, you can picture the boat basin in its heyday.
