Wakou Sushi" at the Ishisai intersection in Kaizuka City. Said to be run by 3 generations of a family! Visited during lunch. There was a quite large parking lot next to the shop. Opening the door revealed counter seats, and private rooms in the back. The day I visited was right after New Year's so the lunch menu hadn't started yet. The staff very politely gave recommendations and food proposals to me, who was nervous at a counter sushi restaurant. Besides sushi, there was sashimi and tempura. Also, a menu updated daily after purchasing at the market and a rich sake menu! You can get the most delicious seasonal fish of the day. Mesmerized by the artisan's skills right in front of my eyes, the food was ready! Assorted sushi. Excitement goes up. Wanted to eat faster than taking photos! And putting it in your mouth, it was plump and super delicious. Also ordered akadashi. Everything was delicious. The staff were very kind, the sushi was delicious, and affordable. Now a 3rd generation (and same age) male chef has joined 🍣 A shop where all staff members' service is too good. ■ First visit Wanted to eat tempura, so ordered the sushi lunch set with tempura (1430 yen). According to the staff, the Ladies Set (1650 yen) is voluminous and a good deal with dessert. The set ordered includes sushi, tempura, 2 side dishes, chawanmushi, and clear soup ♪ Gentle seasoning, tempura is super crispy! The batter of the tempura is crispy and you can thoroughly taste the batter feel. Detailed customer service, cozy atmosphere, seems to have lots of Japanese sake, so definitely want to visit at night.

Sushi includes shrimp, tuna, maki sushi, etc 🍣 All delicious😋 Tempura is freshly fried and crispy, absolutely recommend adding it! Side dishes are tuna yamakake and simmered fish 🐟 Seafood heaven so happy 🤤 The soup and chawanmushi are also super delicious, fully satisfied until the end 💯 ------------ Counter seats on the 1F and table seats on the 2F, quite spacious 🥰 Old-school sushi restaurant vibe, staff were cheerful and polite 🥹💕 A shop I want to go to at night again! Visited at lunchtime. Ordered the ladies set. Appetizer tempura, nigiri sushi, clear soup, chawanmushi, and dessert ice cream included, very satisfying taste. Homey vibe, staff explain the dishes politely. Would love to visit again.
