★Unaichi Honten Ordered the service set which includes one whole unajubox, two pieces of unadon, and your choice of noodles. The eel, with its good color and luster, roasted uniformly to an amber color, has crispy skin and plump flesh. The sauce is light with umami and not sticky; it goes well with the rice as well as the eel, of course. Today's eel was from Aichi Prefecture. Thank you for the meal. #Unaichi #Unajuku #KaizukaGourmet #Unadon #EelCuisine

I was curious about charcoal-grilled eel so I dropped by. The nearby parking lot is spacious, and the store atmosphere and staff service are nice. I like shirayaki (grilled without sauce), so I ordered the eel gozen (two colors). Directly grilled Kansai-style, the surface is crispy and aromatic, but you don't feel the charcoal flavor much. The sauce is mildly sweet. However, whether it was just a coincidence with the eel stocked that day, bones were noticeable every time I cut the flesh with chopsticks, though not to the point of getting caught in my mouth, it bothered me. Overall, I'm grateful for a shop that serves my favorite shirayaki, but... I probably won't go out of my way to repeat my visit.

It was my first time coming to eat and it was very delicious 😋 However, because it's extremely popular, there's a corresponding waiting time on weekends and holidays at lunchtime. It was quite a good price.

To have lunch. Since I hadn't made a reservation, when I arrived at 11 o'clock, they seated us right away. There is plenty of parking space provided at the back of the shop. This time I ordered the service set and jumbo shrimp tempura (a la carte). The eel is crispy and very delicious, and above all, the zaru soba is the best! The dipping broth, which has a good throat feel and matches the eel sauce, makes you want to drink it as is. While fighting the urge to order the "Unaju" next time, I'll probably end up ordering the service set again.
