Absolutely the best food we've had in Japan - beautiful buckwheat noodles, duck broth, tempura, rice balls with grilled miso and duck, and the most incredible pickled onions with fatty tuna. The service was gorgeous, and the set up felt intimate and cozy. An absolutely gorgeous and delightful spot for a meal!

A famous shop for handmade soba, particular about ingredients, and you can properly check the origin and suppliers, so you can eat with peace of mind. Since we waited before opening, we were guided to a table seats immediately after entering. There were already reserved seats upon entry, and it was fully booked in an instant, so advance reservation is recommended. This time we ordered seasonal limited "Sudachi Soba" and "Toriten Lemon Soba". We waited for the food while having tea and soba crackers, but service was fast and food was brought out in no time. On a hot day, choosing refreshing soba was the right choice. The aroma of soba was good, the throat feel was also good, and it was very delicious. Toriten also had a crispy texture, which I liked too. After the meal, we additionally ordered "Soba Ice Cream" and "Soba Pudding". Both had a firm soba flavor, rich and delicious. I was satisfied enjoying not only soba but also dessert. It's a shop I'd like to visit again.

I never dreamed there was such a delicious handmade soba shop locally. My wife said she wanted to go, and that's how I first knew about it. It's not a shop you find by just passing by on the street. It is located in a corner of an area where old rows of single-story houses stand, proceeding down a road resembling a rice paddy ridge. To think there was a handmade soba shop in a place like this... We entered the shop immediately, and it filled up in an instant. Reservations are a must here. However, after the first wave leaves, it gets vacant, so just past 12 noon is the busiest time, and around 13:00 after that might be empty. Since it was lunchtime, we ordered the buri bowl and kake soba set, miso grilled rice ball and kake soba set, and unagi bowl and kake soba set respectively. The soba has moderate elasticity and is boiled to a firmness that gives chewiness. And above all, the soba broth was the best. Not the type of soba you often encounter where the taste is strong and makes you thirsty later, but a light taste with suppressed saltiness, but the aroma of the broth rises from the flavor. There is a little tororo kelp in it, and anyway the broth balance was the best. It seems there are hot pots at night, so I wanted to go changing the time zone. It is a delicious soba shop run hard by a young couple.

A soba shop that I searched for because I wanted to eat soba, located in Terada-ke Nagaya, Minami-Shinmachi, inside the Kaizuka historic building accumulation district of Terainaimachi Kaizuka. It's a traditional folk house renovation shop, but the door is amazing! The decoration is also unique and cute. On a weekday lunchtime, as it is popular, I was prepared for a line, but today about 30% of the shop was occupied without congestion and service was smooth. Soba crackers as a service? It has salt on it and is crispy and yummy. Fine-cut soba with good aroma is also my preference and very delicious, and tempura is freshly fried and crispy and very voluminous. Soba-yu is also thick and delicious and heart-warming. I definitely want to visit again. There is a parking lot problem that you wouldn't know unless you go. The private parking lot next to the shop has narrow roads along the way, and it is parallel parking so there are times when moving is necessary for getting in and out, so those who care need to be careful when using. Since there is a designated coin parking lot where you can get a service ticket, that is recommended. I was in trouble a little bit because I didn't know, but please note that if you park in the parking lot in front of the cafe on the south side of the shop, you can only park in two hourly rental slots.
