2025.10.15 Even though the Osaka Expo is over, foreigners with 'Our Osaka tourism starts now!' are still flooding Shin-Osaka station. Leaving that hustle and bustle behind, Kitani-san came to Kaizuka station front and rushed into the station's public diner Napoli for the first time in 7 years. I intended to have Niku Omurice (700 yen tax included), but since the daily special Tendon (800 yen tax included) that a previous customer was eating looked delicious, I decided to have the tendon. Perhaps because it's a daily special, the bowl arrived in less than 5 minutes. Though small, it has 2 shrimp tempura, 1 sweet potato, 1 eggplant, 1 shishito pepper. Not so much topping that you can't see the rice, but plenty filling. The tendon broth is slightly light yet sweet, going well with the rice. The slightly extra-filling portion was also pleasing. Napoli is run by 3 people, elderly parents and son, with four 4-person tables. Since there is no parking lot, you need to use a coin parking lot when coming by car. On the next visit, I'll have the Niku Omurice for sure...(*´ω`*) 2017.08.21 Today's Napoli. We don't say 'Cotoletta'. It's Tonkatsu Teishoku...( *・ω・)ノ 2016.11.15 Today's Kaizuka station front exploration is the old diner 'Napoli' in the shopping district. The menu has tendon and udon. From the interior you want to shout 'Where is this Napoli!'. But ordered the omurice recommended by a taxi driver. Chicken rice wrapped in a thin omelet as if ignoring 'fuwa-toro' (fluffy-runny). A nostalgic Showa taste...(*´ω`*)
View on GoogleA Showa-like Western restaurant with cheap prices and just the right portions. Personally, I recommend the tonkatsu a la carte and omurice a la carte over the tonkatsu set. Would love to try other menus too! 레트로 감성이 느껴지는 일본 경양식집! 노부부 두분이서 하시는데 맛도 양도 딱 좋았습니다. 가격도 요즘 물가에 비해 저렴합니다. 개인적으로 돈까스 추천합니다.
View on GoogleEnjoyed the daily lunch at Restaurant Napoli. Tonkatsu is served for the daily lunch, and the crispy batter and juicy meat quality were exquisite. The volume was solid, fully satisfying contents. The interior is full of Showa atmosphere, with a nostalgic aroma and taste. Unlike modern cafes and restaurants, the appeal is being able to enjoy meals relaxedly in a calm space. Since my visit time was late, there were ashtrays but no one was smoking. Therefore, I was able to enjoy meals in a comfortable environment. Staff were also kind, overall spending a very satisfying lunch time. Tasting authentic cuisine while feeling this Showa atmosphere is a unique experience here. Definitely want many people to enjoy this charm. Want to visit again.
View on GoogleOmurice 600 yen, Omurice large 900 yen Old-school omurice wrapped in thin omelet because the ketchup rice isn't strong so it's delicious until the very last bite ♪
View on GoogleFish set meals are delicious. You can choose grilled or simmered fish, and grilled fish is cooked after ordering so it takes a bit of time but really delicious. There is also omurice takeout. Traditional type wrapped in egg.
