2026.05.19 There is a diner in Kaizuka that is just like saying 'majik' written with serious kanji. Its name is Teppen, written with the kanji for summit (頂). It is a diner on the first floor of a port management facility. This time, I launched a reconnaissance in force on that Teppen. Teppen in a employee cafeteria style. The menu posted as top recommendation at the numbered ticket purchasing area acting as meal tickets is Katsu Meshi (1,300 yen including tax). Teppen's reconnaissance in force started from this Katsu Meshi. Katsu Meshi arrived after waiting 10 minutes. The basic structure of Katsu Meshi is a two-layer structure of rice and cutlet topped with a fried egg at the apex. Demi-glace sauce is poured over the cutlet, and light curry is poured between the cutlet and rice, to the extent that it doesn't interfere with the compatibility between the cutlet and demi-glace sauce. The cutlet thickness is about 8 millimeters, which is normal, but astonishingly it's a single cut of meat. It's big enough to cover a large flat plate. The meat quality of the cutlet is relatively tender and easy to eat. However... the volume is amazing in everything. Actually, I had them make the rice portion slightly smaller, but still, the meaty power of the cutlet overwhelms Kiriya-san. At such times, the surprisingly palate-cleansing element is the fried egg. Mash the yolk and white and coat the cutlet to change the taste and refresh your mood. Anyway, I finished eating slowly taking 20 minutes. In that Teppen, there is a menu called Katsu Don (1,600 yen including tax) which has a higher unit price than this Katsu Meshi. I don't know if it's the same size as Katsu Meshi, but it seems to have 3 cutlets on top.... Whether to challenge the Katsu Don... will be judged prudently...(*´ω`*)
View on GoogleThinking that there used to be a diner called Salamanque here, I passed by and a new diner had opened, so I went in! Prices are reasonable and the menu is abundant, which is appreciated! People at the shop were also kind and I enjoyed a delicious meal!
View on GoogleI always passed by for work, so I was curious and when I had time, I visited for the first time. It was my first time and I had katsu meshi with a hamburger steak topping, and it had quite a volume and the price was reasonable. The next day, I had the volume set with a cream croquette topping, and it was ridiculously delicious
View on GoogleI visited because I was curious when passing by many times on my way home from work. Water and warm tea are self-service. Since katsumeshi is their specialty, I ordered it with ham katsu topping, and the volume was huge, and I was satisfied! There are various other menus too, so I'd like to visit again and try various things!
View on GoogleI visited because other people's reviews caught my attention, but neither the recommended curry nor the cutlet were the taste I expected. First of all, because the rice is not delicious, no matter what you eat—set meals, rice bowls, or curry—it's not delicious‼️😢 Perhaps due to the recent soaring price of rice, the rice they use is no good?! Having volume but unpalatable food is tough. Also, the udon broth was so-so, but the noodles were the worst, good-for-nothing noodles, so I left them. I would like tenkasu (tempura scraps) fried until well-colored. Whitish scraps are ❌ Users seemed to be mostly people related to ports and delivery, but I wonder if the users are satisfied❓️ I want them to place emphasis on taste rather than volume.
